In practicality, the actual "work" part of a CEO's position is ambiguous "sense of leadership" shit. The ultra-high-level decisions that people make within the context of their business are not made meaningfully better by any particular person being in charge.

this is really good :o

Of course, in reality, the reason why people are so busy is because pushing people into a collective desperation for work has an unbelievable number of benefits for Business Owners looking to exploit their workers.

This feels like a kind of empty statement (and I'd want to see what he said directly), but taking it as written, I figure the idea here is "there's no reason to force people to work insane and shitty hours if ~AI~ can reduce our workloads so much".

(There are a million little technicalities to tack onto this, because health care isn't just hospitals and giving money to hospitals, but you get what I mean.)

Obamacare was an improvement but "socialism" would mean "no hospital is private" and "instead of having some demonic network of health insurance companies, everyone's money goes directly into funding these hospitals & thus each others' medical procedures".

Well, what I mean is that "socialist" is explicitly pursuing social ownership of the means of production. As in, the less privately-owned a society is, the more socialist it is.

Most of these aren't really socialist.

help.drivethrupartners.com/hc/en-us/art... Doesn't supporting LGBT+ rights, especially while your country consciously erodes federal-level trans protections, count as "overt political agendas or views"?

@drivethrurpg.com Hey buddy, saw this and I won't be buying any more games through your storefront if I can help it. No thanks for contributing to the nazification of the fucking internet.

How can you say "efficiency", implying an economic sense of efficiency, when this is the downside staring you in the face? Do they just expect everyone to move into palliative care, taking a massive pay hit, and handle the aging population problem that way?

you cannot tell me the 75 concurrently airing cop/troop/coptroop shows on cable and network TV that our parents watch 10 hours of a week don't influence their worldview

oh i know those little rectangle things from circuit boards :o

Not only is this true, but only on the hardest difficulty is this dynamic removed. I have some level of maturity and understanding of probability, so this sort of thing makes me feel infantilized. I noticed the same thing in Battletech and it really cut into my enjoyment of the game.

Could be locked at 24? Which is absurd for a video game, but was an old film frame rate standard.

Videogames aren't dying, but they're facing the risk of becoming nothing more than a beam that mr. internet can turn on and off based on vibes. You really spent that much money on hardware, and you'll still let the big fish work you like this? Buy, own, and distribute air-gapped software.

The great part of your paywalls is that they force people to not read your articles.

LibreOffice has some awkward interface things (especially surrounding Tables, for some reason) and I've often had stability issues when copy-pasting web content from outside of the programs.
