The union jack in the corner of the Australian flag & the Queensland state flag (other jurisdictions) is a symbol of oppression to Indigenous people. It's also a symbol of oppression to my Welsh Cymru ancestors. That's why it doesn't appear in the Welsh Cymru flag.
