😆 He was a lot of things, but probably not a very good birb. If you know the scene from the old Lilo&Stitch where she draws a graph of his evil-level - I did that regularly for my bird.

I get your hesitation but if I knew them well-ish, I couldn't hold my tongue. I'm too babbly for that... so I'd say self-rec is okay.
If it was a random stranger on the internet, then it depends on the specifics. If they're just saying they like the idea, self-rec seems nice for them too :)
