So let’s see. Trump called up the national guard. Hegseth is threatening to activate active duty Marines against US citizens somehow. And Tom Homan threatened to have Gavin Newsom arrested if he goes to LA to stand with protestors. Next week we’ve got a giant military parade in DC. Long hot summer.

Violating immigration laws is the moral equivalent of driving 10 miles over the speed limit or rolling through a stop sign in an empty intersection. It deserves a fine or maybe some community service, at most. It does not warrant being kidnapped by paramilitary goons and held prisoner.
