And hail!! But doesn't seem to be too huge... so far!

And we have rain!!! Hurrah!!
comment in response to post
Thunder seems to have started rumbling in the distance here, but we have a tendency to miss out on the rain here, though the big village often gets clobbered. Really hoping we get the rain, but wouls gladly pass on the hail!

That's rather restrained! Well done to you all πŸ˜„

Thanks for the link, Frances. Emails to Marie Goldman sent from my husband and myself.

Unless they're on this list of MPs, like mine is, in which case they just ignore your email. I agree with you 100%, & I've tried, I really have. I've even emailed other MPs just to drive the message home, but unless you're in their constituency they cannot engage. πŸ˜”

Is it worth calling at another time and explaining why you really need an actual appointment? Sometimes if you get a different person they can be a bit more helpful/empathetic xxx

The boys are out in cool spots somewhere, Alice is curled up in her bed with me! Definitely must be tough being furry in such heat!
comment in response to post
Definitely feeling a bit pooped! Thinking of you too. Hope furry nurses are taking care of you xxx

Thankfully, metre thick stone walls are excellent in hot weather so the house doesn't get that hot! xxx

I can imagine. Glad it all worked out for you in the end. I just want to be sure nobody can kick me out of my home, and so I can vote again!

Sneaky! I have an a-level and did the 1st year of a french degree many years ago, but obviously they aren't recognised! How has you application gone? Are you fully french now?
comment in response to post
I think even if I have scraped a pass I'd like to redo it again and actually get a mark that represents my actual level of capability. It would obviously be enough for my citizenship application, but personal pride makes me want to get a good mark!
comment in response to post
I didn't even notice! That's how exhausted I am today πŸ˜„
comment in response to post
Really was. All my health issues ramp up in the heat, so I was a physical mess. But it was good experience and having gone through it a resit in December will seem really easy!
comment in response to post
I'm pretty sure I haven't due to health issues, but I really don't mind. I now know what to expect and will retake in December when the heat won't be an issue for me.
comment in response to post
I was nervous, won't lie, but the biggest issue was the heat as it makes my dysautonomia a million times worse. I was prepared and ready, it was just the temperature and having to be upright/seated without an opportunity to lie down and get my HR down that was the biggest issue.

Thanks Emma!

Yes, that's the plan.

No, it's a community learning place, no money for aircon! It was actually relatively cool in comparison to outside, but as I was already overheated arrriving my brain and body stop communicating and the messages don't get through so I just kept getting hotter!

If I scrape a 50 I'll be over the ruddy moon! I felt utterly terrible and on the verge of fainting all afternoon!
comment in response to post
Thanks! Don't think celebrations will be in order this time around, a winter resit will be required I think.
