Not much... since I use LLMs 😉
Yes maybe, publish or perish culture generate a lot of literature. And current models don t cover perfectly the literature processing and selection tasks to my opinion.

(ex: if you calculated that the environment is doomed in 80% chances, you should be fighting like hell. If not it would be suspect)

Additionaly, and I don't have the exact quote but over all, being activists seems to be quite grounded as the public tend to not understand when we act as if we don't have the info

"Wokelahoma" is very cool, indeed, I would be eager to take holidays in such a place 😀

I guess I do have a naive faith that mankind as a body, act to protect science and knowledge, but this is truly wrong. Knowledge and understanding is more and more the result of a never ending struggle. Including the fight for a non failing memory.

Bit exageration but...
I was thinking yesterday to the claude levi Strauss book "race and history", saying civilisations just don't t go towards the same, so occidental one had the view that other stagnate. And in this scope, sure we went backwards in sustainability, but now.. knowledge !!

Until now I was really in doubt that the "internet archive" project could prove any usefulness because there were no reason that serious major actors suddenly scrap to the ground their work.
And then...

No surprises, the whole budget narrative of the trump administration is the tale of a misadaptated mankind.
If it was a serie that I could opt-out I'd rather skip the next season.

While we re at it, we should tell them as well that there is *no* treatment for a +4° planet so scientists *won t* come out with some cool idea. Signed a researcher in AI for agriculture sustainability.

Not sure you can refuse AI. It is already so pervasive... while you could not use it explicitly by your own hand. Like I could with social networks.

And about the right judgemental is... I mean AI is so vast and moving fast that establishing the good and wrong place is not an easy thing. But I almost see your point about eating creative stuff. But I don t see your point with "not useful on any".

For myself I think what you feel about "AI devouring art and creative" is the same that I feel about "social networks devouring human relationship".
AI is just a tool in it. As are submarine network cables, screens etc.. etc..

Promoting non-populist reactions, and improve the ground of AI aversion. These critics would have been suited as well to early generations of automated stuff, where AI is just the last state of the art. But... I am not sure you are ready to scrap every single transistor and battery piece. So ?
