Wow, a comment on HN I actually agree with!

Gemini Deep Research lets you turn a prompt based report into a web page, infographic, quiz, or audio overview. I think the web page option might take off, but I haven’t seen anyone share one yet. Expecting major updates in Google Sites soon.

This may sound super abstract, but I rely on 2 things: philosophy and research. Philosophy gives me reasoning and fundamental questions about ideas and beliefs, and research enables me to test those ideas in context, uncover patterns, and ground abstract thinking in real-world evidence.

Voice based actions in tools like Figma could speed up workflows. Faster edits, less clicking. They’d also make it easier for non designers to use. That’s the direction we’re heading, especially with Gemini’s live screen sharing, it gives that vibe.

In 2014, Russia started an unprovoked war on Ukraine, aiming to seize all of Ukraine. It launched an all-out invasion in 2022. I do not understand how anyone can possibly be taking the side of Russia and Putin. This war is not “self defense:” it is brutality and war crimes.

the thing about the “town square” analogy as it pertains to social media is that it actually does work. it’s just that “town square” meaning “saying anything to anyone without repercussions” is ridiculous. try going up to a stranger in public and saying something weird and see what happens.

i wonder what AI HR would have to say about this kind of behavior in the workplace.....

I was raised Catholic. And have no desire to return. Yet I found, in Pope Francis’ words and deeds, some deeply inspiring and insightful truths. He brought together the best of modern Catholic theology, spirituality, and social practice.

Built a small tool to read Bluesky threads like an article. It pulls in all your posts connected to the main thread, and the link is shareable so you can send it to anyone. Just fetch the main thread link using the button at the top and you’re good to go. Try now → bsky-read.pages.dev

Another great series – The Pitt (2025). It's different from House (2004 - 2012) and feels more realistic. #series

Ok, look people: Signal as a *protocol* is excellent. As a service it’s excellent. But as an application running on your phone, it’s… an application running on your consumer-grade phone. The targeted attacks people use on those devices are well known.
