MPs publicly call out and criticise JK Rowling in Parliament. I think this might be a first? That is now in the Hansard record for all time. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwBm...

Over in New York… A left-wing candidate Offered left-wing policies To left-wing voters …and won. Any danger @UKLabour?

📢 BREAKING: In a defeat for anti-trans clinicians the @bma.org.uk has voted in favour of affirming "the right of all LGBTQ+ patients and staff to identity-based care and working conditions – defined as care and policies that actively account for the individual’s lived, intersecting identities"

Pleased by the unexpected level of excitement for this paper. ☺️

This is an image maga is posting to stoke fear of Mamdani. A list of things that sound awesome

he's right and he's right to say it

Gives me a lot of sympathy for Murderbot hacking its governor module. Sheesh.

So the UK Met Office is inviting people to suggest up to 5 names for storms. And apparently lots of people have been suggesting "Storm Bigoil", along with BP, Equinor, Exxon & Shell... This is obviously appalling & definitely not to be emulated via this link: www.metoffice.gov.uk/forms/name-o...

Julian Assange was released one year ago today. Here's what he said: "All judges whether... finding in my favour or not, in the UK, showed extraordinary deference to the US, engaged in astonishing intellectual backflips to allow the US to have its way on my extradition".

If youre lobbying your MP tomorrow.. Keep calm and read this first.

NEW: We’ve uncovered how the EHRC met behind closed doors twice with anti-trans group Sex Matters to discuss rolling back trans rights. What they said will alarm you. 1/6 tacc.org.uk/2025/06/23/h...

Mamdani’s platform on transgender rights is stellar. I’m pleased to see him ahead in the polls today. A victory would be profoundly meaningful for where progressives move from here, in a time where monied interests are trying to urge a rightward movement in the Democratic Party.

Science fiction has always given us both hope and dire warnings about what could be.

Did trans people in Russia go too far?! Or is state mandated elimination of trans healthcare a unifying theme in illiberal authoritarian countries? It's the latter.

It’s not like I didn’t already think this situation was really fucking bad, but I was beginning to think it was way fucking worse.

The public was 100% ready for trans rights just a few years ago. What we’re seeing now is a massive shift in public opinion after a coordinated and expensive propaganda blitz, one that Dems happily ignored. Trans rights aren’t new. We had them for years and everything was cool.

just saw a group of masked men stuffing masked ICE agents into an unmarked car, who were saying "we're ICE we're ICE!" but the abductors shouted to the crowd "no we're ICE!" no one knew who was ICE, so no one in the crowd said anything.

Alt text: 2 older women with big grins, short haircuts, & glasses wearing OLDER DYKES TRANS RIGHTS T-shirts. They are holding hands walking down an urban street of old stone buildings. Behind them are more people, also cheery looking, marching, and a colorful sign reading LOUD & PROUD.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. A little light reading to fuel my righteous anger.

Hello! It is my birthday so I am allowed to unapologetically say buy my books! I have 3 series, one finished, two ongoing, all 100% human written, edited, and cover designed, because I actually like writing books and I hate "AI" with the passion of a 1000 burning suns. michellemanus.com/my-books/

Daily Mail issues retraction on inaccurate reporting on puberty blockers. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...

Conflicting commands filled my feed but I didn’t pay attention.

Amazing: MIT researchers revealed how ChatGPT etc are destroying our brains and booby-trapped the report to expose those who want to use AI to ostensibly summarize the results. t.co/JXeTALBPds

Farage and the far right in general come from a grievance culture. If you do what they want, even maximally – Brexit – they’ll move the goalposts and keep moaning. If you engage seriously with their concerns, they’ll find new ones. You will never satisfy them, because they don’t want to be satisfied

The NYT apologized for its coverage of the AIDS epidemic 39 years later. Maybe in half a century they'll apologize to trans people.

The law in its infinite wisdom bans trans and cis people alike from being trans

lol "It is important to note that we weren't referring to For Women Scotland, but the group Sex Matters, which suggests Rowling didn't actually read the story before trying to smear our publication."

since it’s pride and I just got a bunch of new followers let’s keep the rent low by firing some shots in the air - if someone wants to transition at any age for any reason that’s their business 👍🏳️‍⚧️

"LGBTQ+ standard disappears from Matlock high street as Christian bookshop manager says they are ‘not happy with the gay rights situation’" "The gay rights situation". As in "having rights". These are the people the UK panders to. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j...

It is 1979 and the New York Times is attacking healthcare for trans people. It is 2025 and the New York Times is attacking healthcare for trans people. It is.....

Every media report of a JK Rowling proxy threatening to sue a body that won't engage in performative cruelty to trans people should include this heading from the Supreme Court decision. But, because the outlets are clueless or bigoted, they never do.

Very pleased to announce we have succeeded in our application for a judicial review of the EHRC's 'Interim Guidance', now sealed by the court. We also supplied an accompanying application for urgent consideration of the matter. We are challenging on the areas of:

Amazing 😂

Seemingly lost in all of the NYT coverage is that what the Supreme Court did was effectively lower the evidentiary bar that state's have to meet to justify their bans. The lower courts that applied heightened scrutiny universally blocked the bans.

Ugh, self-determination sucks sometimes.

We're thrilled to present the shortlist for the 2025 Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction:

Reporters covering Skrmetti: We have real people who will face real consequences from this decision available to talk to you today, as I'm sure does every other major LGBTQ+ org and the ACLU. There's no excuse to not include their voices in your story.

Having puberty blockers as a youth would’ve been awesome. But I’m also very happy with who I am today and deeply love all the trans people in my life that didn’t have access to puberty blockers. So if you can’t access puberty blockers, I hope you’ll still grow up to be just like them—badasses.

There is a tremendous effort by donors to push the democrats to throw the entire trans community under the bus. It's a top down effort to collaborate with fascism under the deluded idea that it'll somehow win more votes.

Democrats have largely held solid on transgender rights in recent years in terms of actual votes taken. There is a hugely financed movement trying to get them to stop, trying to build pillars to allow them to throw us under the bus. Interviews like this from Sarah McBride are in service to that.

A trans woman forced to compete in a men’s category swimming competition protested the governing body’s trans-exclusionary policies by swimming topless.
