I found out that duckdb natively reads hf:// urls so passing one to `read_csv_duckdb()` from the duckplyr package worked!

Thank you! This seems to do something but I'm hitting authorization issues (unsure how to pass my token correctly). I think is a sign that I should just clone the repo and load the data from there.

It’s an extremely saturated market.

I agree with this so much. IMO, any sensible organization will be more interested in outputs than the tools that created them and will adapt procurement, systems, permissions etc to accommodate. AI (and good documentation) can probably help bridge any language gaps after original author leaves.

I’d like to see NWSL ban multi-club ownership. Make owners choose their favorite and offload the rest.

I got the kind where I (think I) can think very interesting, complicated thoughts but I’m completely unable to express them to others articulately.

The first episode of the current season of Doctor Who had this AI/Al confusion as a plot point.

What is United’s sponsorships to points ratio this season? I imagine it is above 1 sponsor per point.

Lovely. Different style but I love Fitzcarraldo Editions books for aesthetic reasons (as well as actual writing).

Congrats of LCL. Random aside, I have never seen an English club owner involved in a trophy lift like that. Usually they’re milling around in the background, if they’re on the pitch at all.

Sorry, but if your school fails at safeguarding, rightly, the regulator is going to declare that you have failed. We're not talking about a school getting a 'Good' rather than an 'Outstanding' because of some relative triviality here! We are talking about a justified, automatic fail.

I’m using an M1 Mac too. The issue is the lack of OpenMP on Mac by default, I follow the instructions offered by the data.table team but building from source fails, definitely related to some shortcut I took last time. It installs using the binary on CRAN but that only offers single threaded mode.

It looks like you're trying to have a healthy relationship with social media. Would you like me to send the bile you've been ignoring directly to your eyeballs?
