If you want to learn how to spin yarn there is no better teacher, IMO, than Abby. I've learned so much from her and still recommend her work nearly 20 years later. Invest in yourself and take your fiber arts journey to the next level.

Original Godzilla and then the first Monarch Godzilla double feature with friends who have never seen either. I cooked Japanese food (pork tan tan and tiny pork buns dumplings). It was a pretty awesome day.

Today's bobbin lace making class was a ton of fun. The teacher's work was so beautiful and inspiring. I love that she talked about how this is practiced not just in Europe but in Puerto Rico, too. Just like my Mom's aunt did.

Editing. Because I've taken enough time off. I still can't believe I wrote what's currently a 167,000 word/514 page book. Should I be calling it a first draft instead of a book? Sure. But guess what? I don't care. I wrote a book and I'm properly chuffed about it. #writing

It comes along. I'm doing a fairly involved mod that I saw another stitcher do after all the clues were released that I loved. It incorporates a bonus image (on the tablet) and swapping out a clock that I don't move with plants for the center of the shelf. More on that later. #crossstitch

Since I have my life back, see: progress. From the right to left on the bottom shelf is all new in the last couple weeks. I have a whole other shelf to do below this one before I can call it done and start the next mystery stitch along I purchased, one based on crows and royalty. #crossstitch

Eight years ago today I posted this. Turns out, I crushed it. Last year I read 301 books (more, actually) and I'm already at 66 this year. I credit the Kindle I bought that same year. Though I had a Nook previously, it didn't hook me.
