Another one. Lifelong torture is the plan. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/u...

Old enough to remember House Dems saying they couldn't possibly try to open a locked door to get Elon's rats out of the building they were unlawfully occupied in because what if they got arrested and missed a vote and then three of them literally died and now they're getting raided by ICE

I hope people will remember this about ICE— we see carryover of capacity fromone administration to the next. Protests against Obama on immigration had some good effects (not enough of them). When the person you voted for is in power, that’s a GOOD time to protest if our goal is a just society.

With all due respect to op, in comradely critique, what we see here is that they are facing mass spontaneous resistance to their raids and they need crowd control techniques and tear gas to even do what they want to do. This is a video of increasingly effective resistance, not total police control

Things like this will mean that tech will *always and forever* drive us to the right because the right’s proposition is ‘Look, if we ditch morality completely, and the government is completely indifferent to what happens to human beings from commerce, investors will make more money.’

OpenAI is featuring a "Looksmaxxing GPT" that provides "PSL ratings" for photos. It will rate people as "subhuman", and advise men to get invasive procedures like jaw surgery to "increase their sexual market value" among women, who it describes as "hypergamous by nature".

Capitalism will steal EVERYTHING from us. Our freedom, our rights, and finally our lives. Most Americans know this on some level—but cannot. bear to face it head on. They get mad at ‘big pharma’ or elites or whatnot but cannot swallow the whole bitter pill.

The Trump administration has quietly spread Palantir’s technology through U.S. agencies, paving the way to easily compile data on Americans. The company has received more than $113 million in federal government spending since President Trump took office. nyti.ms/4dJfR0o

Aaron Swartz was sentenced to 35 years imprisonment and $1 million in fines for downloading JSTOR articles, and subsequently took his life, but apparently we should allow OpenAI to have unfettered access to copyrighted material?

Does a goose drive this vibe?

Is this a menacing pastry or is my imagination running away with me?
