I'm a square peg in a world of round holes. Work in sales, not in the tech field, but I'm an absolute tech junkie. I'm just me, a two EV owning, in my 60's, ADHD powered guy, living my one of a kind life with my wife and our four crazy cats.

Final thought, it's like a well made hammer, you get one and find it works a whole lot better than using a random rock. You can then use that tool to build something beautiful, easier than you could using that rock. Or... you can use it to hit people on the head. Does that make the tool itself bad?

I can even speak from personal experience with ai, and how it can be the opposite, and make you think more. I've never worked in tech, but I'm a geek at heart. The things I now have it pushing me to learn is amazing. Like any tool, what you get out of it is based on what you put into using it.

This is the same BS that's said about every new tool in every industry. Oh.. "how will a carpenter ever know how to cut a board if they all have machines (a power saw) that will do it!?!" The truth is, they still do, but now can build far more incredible and complex things.

The amount of FUD I see about ai on here is crazy. I'm 65, never worked in tech, & I'm about 999 million $$ shy of being a billionaire, but I 100% agree, we need to go all in on ai. To me, 20/mo, just to do fun/cool stuff, is worth it, but I think what we'll see in the next 10 yrs, will be amazing.

Guys like him have been selling this for all of our lives. It's so old... It's this BS that's the heart of GOP "corporate" thinking vs free markets. You see it everywhere, like convincing people to buy something they don't need as it's on sale! Programming us, getting us to say, "But I saved money!"

If you want to 😅, watch the video about the Senate character they based this cartoon on. It's funny, but whats really funny is how one else here speaks like that. My self described, nearly 70, born & raised here good 'ol boy neighbor, has a hint of it, but it's just that, not like Gov Kadiddlehopper

Good old foghorn. He, like so many of them, used to only be the normal level of bad, but now they're worse, as they have followed their leaders use of f'ing insults and sarcasm. Note that trumpian last line he had to add.
comment in response to post
Even worse, is how it's, 'monkey see, monkey do' with these guys now all following Trump's lead, with his sarcastic use of that last sentence.

You can't even make sense of their vehicle of choice. Most of these guys have a truck that's never used as a truck, with a tow hitch that never tows anything. It's all.. wait for it... Virtue signalling! Yeah, what they say us EV owners do 😆 Here's one of my EVs, it's more of a 🚚 than his 🚗

A week or so ago, I looked at the list of where they are and geez, there are a lot in SC. There's one right here in our little town of Summerville too. I'm not sure I can make it, kinda committed to something else, but if I can skip that it would be fun to head up and meet up with ya up there.

Maybe we could spend a small part of the million bucks a month being spent on providing security for him, on removing the marbles that seem stuck in his mouth. www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-b...

Yep, that but worse. It's not 'just ok' to them, they will love it and think it's great! The fucked up part is, he will see how it makes him more popular to that base, which will make him do it more. With him, there's only one way things can ever go, and that's from bad to worse.

I'm now seeing the same with a lot of tech related stuff that obviously is made in China. I just bought a led strip that Philips reduced by 40%. I keep trying to figure out what these companies are thinking.

I can't remember the last time I bought any beer, I just kinda gave up drinking it for the most past a bunch of years ago, but we do buy soda. With the news of this tariff being out there for a while, it's been really odd seeing the canned soda constantly on sale over the past couple of months.

GOP strategy: 1) stick foot in your mouth 2 stick the other one in there too

If I was faced with a version of the trolley problem, where the choice was to save her or a skunk with rabies, it would be that skunks lucky day. 🦨😀

I also have to add, that point was the one that many of my long time LP friends scoffed at the most. They were too locked into thinking that gov and society are different, and refused to see how it would spread like a virus. I'm seeing more and more Here's an example: www.reddit.com/r/resumes/s/...

One of the things I screamed the most about the danger of Trump, was how this shit rolls downhill to society as a whole. Not that this one is related to him, but I know I'm seeing more of it out there in the world. People more and more are just saying F it, why be honest?

Funny thing, I'm sitting here at the eye surgeon for the followup from having mine done this past month. I got the iol ones so my distance is great now, but... my near vision... well that sucks (I'm like this to read 🤓) But wow, 7 times a day, I thought my 4 times a Day with 3 diff ones was bad.

This seems overly cynical. I'm not a dem, but I voted for Biden and for Harris, but not out of a strong feeling towards them. A lot of people I know agree, the GOP is beyond horrible, yet many of them still didn't vote for Harris. Now, you can blame them all day, but what does that solve?

On the upside, one of those graduates might someday be part of a team that acts to restore the Constitution, by removing this criminal and traitor from power.

Ahhh but I miss doing that. Yeah.... sure I do!

As you and I both know, sadly, this is nothing new. I was anal about getting people to sign them right, you had to be, back in pa when I collected sigs, but what a f'ing PIA it was.

I won't beat her up for saying it, as maybe it needs to be said repeatedly to guys like him. But, if all we will get is this lecturing, it's a joke. The time for that is long past. It was passed a year ago, when the Ds should have gone after Trump for the traitor he is, calling him that every day

He is of course correct. I voted for Harris, and was as depressed as anyone when trump won, but there is a truth that he is saying. The Dems lost this race that they should have easily and overwhelmingly won. Denying that truth guarantees you will repeat it.

Guys like him assume the position when they see trump

Half these comments are saying some version of "put it nowhere". That mindset reminds me of why we are in the f'ing mess we are, and how we get someone like him elected. Too many sane people see "both sides" as equally bad choices. Choice 1: let a criminal get things done. Choice 2: ban everything.

I think we're gonna see more of this type of thing. Be on the lookout soon for them fleeing rats bsky.app/profile/meid...

A fine is not enough. Things like this deserve a lifetime ban from ever having a license. If you are that clueless, that you can do something like this, you will never ever be able to be even a lousy driver, let alone a half decent one.

She is my congress creep. Lucky me. And of course, I'll never pass up the chance to post this video of her.

Cool idea but my first thought is, how would it know when they imported it? Considering someone could potentially do a shopping trip to Walmart at some point this year, buying things made in China, that came in under who knows how many different rates.
comment in response to post
She's just like these other Republican drones, unable to think for themselves, and so far up Trump's, all they can do is follow his lead. Be a creep, but say it's everyone else that is a creep. Scream about free speech, but restrict it. And of course, sue everyone.

He's worse than corrupt. He is normalizing being corrupt! In a few years, if not much sooner, corruption everywhere will be commonplace as this shit rolls downhill. Business and people will lie and cheat like never before, as, why not? It's just how it's done will be the attitude. It's being normal

Maybe they thought Nancy Mace would go there instead and just have every single Greek arrested because she thought by Greek festival they meant the ceremony of Dionysos.
