Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy. Husband. Parent. Believer in defending democracy. Support one another.

Do you think Biden made a mistake when he empowered a working group to study, but ended up taking no action, to make changes to the Supreme Court during his early tenure?

"Tried to Goad Him?!" ROFL. I mean, it's about the perfect description, catchy, and had the impact you would expect of an insecure bully. One step shy of punching him directly in the nose. Wonderful to watch unfold.

Yes. Be relentless about calling out and warning companies about the blowback if they violate the law.

In light of this, and the compromised US Marshals Service, it stands to reason that the power invested in the judicial branch to authorize a competent enforcement arm also be used to protect themselves.

Thank you for continuing to illustrate that this is much bigger than just #Felon47. Removing MAGA root and branch is the only way to begin recovering a representative democracy.

Fascists. Because they know highly intelligent and educated people will push back and call out fascism. Don’t think for a second it’s stupidity.

They’ll need to empower an enforcement arm quickly before they’ve all been subordinated by the fascist government.

In my opinion, this is the real threat. Not because all the other provisions aren't criminally negligent and an abandonment of the principles of representative government, but that it removes the final defense, short of violence, of democracy against fascism.

Separation of church and state is a bedrock principle. The fact that it was this close only shows how twisted the Court has become.

We’re definitely going to have to fight to create a society that’s distant from the one we find ourselves in now.

Lines up exactly with getting State and Local law enforcement on the side of the (now) DOJ Gestapo esp in "blue" or "purple" states/cities where they will need those forces to put down pro-democracy protests.

The same it's always been throughout history: control and power.

“Everyone responsible for this illegitimate abuse of power is going to be held accountable for their actions.” A warning to MAGA, but also to ourselves. They know it, and so will do anything to stay in power.

I was recently speaking to someone who is an expert in the Chinese authoritarian government tactics and alive during the anti-Vietnam War/Civil Rights movements. His opinion was that violence is inevitable since the MAGA regime HAS to stay in power to avoid criminal prosecution/justice.

I would have thought they would have looked around and realized that capitulation to this regime simply does not work. However, in the overwhelming majority of cases, holding the line does.
