If anything makes me support Padilla or Lander, it's the fact that they were in these places at all, supporting others. Not the fact that they're criticized or handcuffed. DJT supporters have set an example of how not to approach these issues.

There also aren't people making T-shirts or profile pics of their arrest/detainment photos. Not even saying this to say "Libs/Dems are better!" This is more rationality vs maga.

"Still, the church is not without tools." I know exactly what you mean here, but still chuckled at a different meaning to apply to the senator.

If he apologizes (it's been over 48 hours already?), there will be a chorus of "See? He apologized, not move on!" from all those who accept the least effort from the most powerful.

I'm sorry. I'm in Utah. I don't want him. I wish I could be as confident as maga is when they use the word "we," but I can't.

Could have stitched: "He knows what he did" below the handprints

If I had the time and a little spare $, I'd make a verified account on X that quote-posted the deliberate misinfo spread by elected officials and others of high profile and influence. Every post would be quoted with the phrase: "I just need enough people to believe this so we can have tax cuts!"

To say he's irresponsible is an understatement. Unbecoming for any human, let alone an elected official. bsky.app/profile/seth...

Being in a dorm with many New Jersey kids made him unavoidable, and that ended up being ok by me.

ftr, the book is called "Peaceful Neighbor," and one chapter is about how Mr. Rogers aired 5 episodes of his show about fears of a nuclear threat. Fox News yesterday says "Mr. Rogers never lectured about ... a nuclear threat." Misinfo direct hit. Impressive, really. bsky.app/profile/benc...

This encapsulates how m*ga might sometimes have a good case about something like if there was malfeasance in the Biden WH, but they can't help themselves and jump way past the mark with conspiracies. And it starts at the top.

I was starting to wonder if I were being oversimplifying/naive to think that what I call "The Apparatus" (F*x news and related zone-flooders, esp including X now) is a literal *investment* the wealthy make so that the propaganda influences enough people to vote a certain way. Tax cuts are the ROI.
