the technical lift here is wild. replacing core app flows, adding new moderation defaults, swapping in custom feeds—all while staying connected to the network.
this is what federation is for!!! they’re not just tweaking vibes/feeds, they’re paving a path to the internet i actually want to be on.

We’ve been building our own atproto implementation for the last 2 years.
We’re standing on our own 2 feet.
But keeping the frontend familiar for folks while building in our own components seems like a good move for now.
