Yes, but Chamberlain was not like Hitler. Chamberlain tried to avoid a war, Trump will help to start another one.

Wohin das führt. Ins 19. Jahrhundert mit seiner Großmachtpolitik und dem Kampf um Einflusssphären, der letztlich zu zwei Weltkriegen fuehrte.

When the upper EU echolon muster the will to defend Ukraine and deter Russia, and agree on a common strategy and is finding the courage to sell it to the electorate and has the money to arm Ukraine and the EU, then, maybe, there is a small chance to alter the course of events. A very big "when".

Trump has already dropped the ball, no further negotiations necessary. Trump will sell out Ukraine and in the process the EU as well. We will hear some warm but inconsequential wordsalat to cover the corpse.

Trump will support Putin in ousting Zelensky to install a more malleable regime.

It's not about negotiations. Trump will walk away, making money in the process. For Europe the US has changed sides and will be another hostile power in the near future, like Russia and China.

The sellout of Ukraine has begun, the Russian attack on other countries will follow in the near future.

We should regard the USA as a potential enemy in the near future and aim to reduce important dependecies, like weapons and LNG.

The sell out of Ukraine has begun, a war with Russia in the near future is more probable than ever. The questions are, can the EU stomach the challenge and what will the US do if Russia starts to attack, staying neutral or helping Russia?
