A distinct possibility would be that 47 and Whiskey Pete decide to do something stupid and carpet bomb civilians, making the Iranians rally around the flag.
I hope they keep their dirty hands off. Not a big fan of genocidal Israel, but if it means rebellion in Iran, I welcome it.

I would not add the USA to it. They are dysfunctional right now. But Israel plus already existing opposition forces and probably the help of the GUR / SBU. I read that there were also hidden FPV drones "spiderweb" style.

That's a good point. But, on the other hand, there are indications that Israel's aim is actually regime change. If part of the attacks have been carried out by ground troops (Kurds?) it is also more than probable that the Israelis have operatives instigating revolt and prob. contacted dissidents

SDB, that's this glide bomb without explosives that is fitted with some sort of large blades and kill by cutting the target, right?

They have adopted a new corps system that integrates communications and command structures among several brigades. It has been quite successful where is has been implemented. That is the Pokrovsk front and several others.
That's what TA was referring too with "old school officers" etc

Slovenia had a stint at a Trump-alike dude, but it didn't materialize and they lost their appetite for other populist adventures.
Remember: SlovENIA is where Melanoma Trump comes from and it is in the balkans.
Fiรงo's SloVAKIA is in Central Europe and was part of Czechoslovakia ๐

It is also useless.
And it shows a weird aspect of the Russian army's psyche.
They seem obsessed with waging a philosophical war.
Paraphrasing von Clausewitz "Russian war is culture wars by other means".
It's as if the whole general staff were composed of Dugin's.
Wasteful and stupid.

I don't fear that we will bucle.
What I fear is that, as always, our efforts will pass unnoticed and not even our own media will say much. Later the yanks will chime in when everything is done, claim all the glory and call us Europeans parasites.

It's already taking place.
The US aid has dried out and was piecemeal anyway since at least 9 months ago.
Europe is providing most of the heavy equipment since at least a year ago.
The US hypes up every single bullet they sent and use the occasion to call us Europeans out. We shut up and work.

Because the M*therf*ckers have increased the range of their glide bombs. They are now dropped from 70-80 km distance. The planes themselves van be stationed even further away. They can then fly to the airstrip where the bombs and extra fuel are prepared, launch the bombs and fly back.

They seem to have taken a page from Putin's playbook. It's just that in their utter ineptitude they fail to realize that this is not possible in the USA.
It's not that I think positive about the typical MAGA voter, but when they hit their pockets, they will be mightily pissed. And they are armed.

It's not only ignorance, it's utter stupidity. On the one hand, blaming us for "freeloading" and on the other hand, they complain when we do what they asked us to do?
But knowing the bunch of drug addicts and alcoholics in the WH, it's no wonder at all.

Seems so.
In any case, if things go the way they are going, they will soon not have the money to operate them any way.
So, not much is lost.

Russia is aware. They were already reporting about being attacked by carrier drones back in 2023.

China may be searching for a way out without losing face.
I think that they are more interested in securing the European markets than in keeping Russia alive.
They don't need to invest more energy in defeating the USA economically, Trump already did that.

I don't mind a few more days of market turmoil if it damages Russia ;)

Just a pity that they, too, will get screwed. The oil price is dropping just like the stock markets.

May I know WTF they were testing or why in hell's bloody name they were installing shit on production servers???
I'm just an average IT dude, but these "geniuses" don't seem too tech-savvy to me. I don't think they would pass a job interview in any half decent company.

We, the pathetic EU, are open for business. :)
comment in response to

The reality is, that as bad as the tariffs are in disrupting world trade, the EU is not specially affected.
I understand that our trade with the USA amounts to a 3% of EU GDP. We may even trade more with the UK alone than with the USA.
The reason is that most of our trade is internal.

And maybe a reason for 47 to actually start something in Iran?
The Houthis were also rather quiet lately. Until 47 decided to bomb them.
To somehow bail out the Europans from something nobody knows. ๐

Good point.
The whole idea of the "minerals deal" is a tad weird, as the entire rare earths market in 2024 was worth only $10bn.
Russia is now offering a deal. They claim they have the #5 largest deposits. Which seems a stupid claim, too, as these minerals are not rare at all. Just underexploited.
comment in response to
post
The USA has no leverage in this game.
The aid is ending, and no new packages have been agreed. Europe can provide intel, and Ukraine is not exactly lacking in this field. 47 doesn't want to provide guarantees, either.
47 wants the minerals and gives nothing in exchange.

BTW, the first sentence of the article reads:
"In Lima, the capital of Peru, a transsexual woman was shot 31 times last March."(2023).
If Trump reads this, he may even declare them National Heroes.

It is, however, unclear if they do have a US presence.
