I think we’ve just discovered who broke into Judge Jeanine’s liquor cabinet.

CNN and every other news outlet don’t want Trump to target them like he has ABC and CBS. They think just getting him to utter all the absurdities he does meets the minimum threshold for their duties/roles. Who cares about follow-ups any more? Certainly not these outlets we rely on.

You nailed it. Tapper bears some of the blame, but he’s also been neutered by his employers who worry about inviting the same retribution that has been felt by other media outlets if they criticize Trump too much. Sad thing is Tapper will have a Trump book teed up the moment Trump leaves office.

He’s got a book to sell…err…book sales to rehabiltate

Guy doesn’t want to have to perform the duties of the job…it’s as simple as that. It’s no different than his first term where he spent the majority of his “workday” watching tv, and a good portion of the rest golfing. Of course he left because he is bored.

Someone refresh my memory of which one he was….Beavis or Butthead?

It’s not by “this moment’s partisan politics.” It’s by one man’s obsession to co-opt every aspect of American life…including the U.S. military…for his own personal gain.

The authors of this piece should be embarrassed to have their names on the byline.

Not to worry, they’ll manage to find their…ahem, “voice”…once a normal Democratic administration is back in charge.

I can credibly argue that a fringe podcaster/internet personality is lying because he has an incentive to do so (clicks/engagement). Unfortunately, the same can now be said for what used to be our most trusted broadcast outlets. Are they actually equivalent? No. Functionally? Unfortunately yes.

She’s as vile and if possible, more racist than he is. I’m sure she’ll manage.

He’s been too busy attending to his principal focus of traumatizing federal employees.

In all fairness if Trump or any other Republican had been in office instead Gaza would have long been completely cleared out, permitting completed and awash in construct cranes building the Dear Leader’s fever dream of a lucrative resort paradise

Maybe she can be Jake Tapper’s co-author on his next waste of words

It just completely gives up the game on these guys; being so preoccupied about what 1 private citizen thinks as if his opinion should be driving everything (and I get he is insanely wealthy and runs a very influential social media site, but still)

If there was a way for him to actually f himself he’d find a way to do it; he loves himself that much.

Anytime you are working towards simply meeting a quota…which this ICE push is… and not fixing the underlying problem you are spinning your wheels. Throw in the fact that these are peoples’ lives that they are messing with and the chilling inhumanity of it all becomes even more stark.

Total m’fer this guy.

It’s only “law and order” for those they hate, or for those upon whom they want taken revenge. Diddy could be a serial killer and they’d just shrug their shoulders if Trump ultimately did this (which he probably will).

Happy that you ultimately joined the resistance, but don’t try and pretend that your initial support of the felon who now occupies the White House…as well as many of the Republican cretins who now hold Congressional office and judicial power…didn’t bring us to where we are today.

There’s a high likelihood that the only public transportation Sean Duffy has ever taken in his life was the school bus when he was a kid in Wisconsin; then again, maybe his parents drove him to school.
comment in response to post
That’s patently false. It’s fine to argue they aren’t doing enough to push back on him but to say they aren’t opposed…and vehemently so…to most of what he is doing is dishonest.

Listen to Putin and the Kremlin? And this guy is the Chair of the House Homeland Security Committee?
comment in response to post
Both good and bad. Bad in the sense that the damage he is doing unquestionably argues for his prompt removal. Good in that despite everything the rules that govern civil society and daily life are being respected by the populace, if not by our political leadership. Sad situation nonetheless.

Well, we used to trust the organization you run until you got there.

Unfortunately, for far too many…”that’s my President!”

As I said I understand your anger; I would feel exactly the same if the tables were turned. Just understand than not everybody in the US is your enemy, and certainly not these Senators.

These are Democratic senators who are as appalled about the Trump Administration’s rhetoric and actions towards Canada as anybody. Fully understand Canadians’ attitudes towards anything about the USA; understand that most this side of the border still value your friendship.

In fairness it is extremely difficult to meaningfully counteract this when he’s captured all levers of government, including those such as the DoJ and to a lesser extent, the Supreme Court, which should ostensibly be independent but are no longer not.

Like most other dictators/authoritarians his goal is to make himself inseparable from the state. In other words, Trump = America.

The fish rots from the head on down. As long as Trump is in charge all of his minions will be emboldened to violate every oath they’ve sworn and every law that applies to the positions they occupy. Elect a lawless leader…get a lawless enterprise.

Tapper has been shamelessly pimping his book for two months straight at the end of every one of his broadcasts. I actually felt embarrassed for him every time he did it; you would think he’d be more self aware but turns out he’s as much a grifter as Trump.

Walmart should simply reply “EAT SHIT”
comment in response to post
I think it’s a deal he struck in exchange for allowing the new head of CNN to neuter him and everyone else when it comes to appropriately criticizing Trump.
comment in response to post
Got tired of Jake Tapper pimping his books for 2 straight months at the end of his daily show. Imagine that was the deal he negotiated with your bosses in exchange for his willingness to be completely neutered post Trump’s re-election.

I mean, why did Bezos, Zuckerberg, Musk and all the tech bros completely sell out for Trump? Because no amount of money is ever enough for these greedy pigs.

Problem is nobody wants to shop at a store that hates its customers. Unfortunately for us, the store he’s managing is an Orange 🍊 Julius.

If under oath Bondi would argue that she was responding to the “put them in the middle of the Pacific Ocean” part, not the rebuilding Alcatraz one. Certainly dumping a boatload of detainees in shark-infested waters without the benefit of housing would be very cost efficient indeed.

Work the word “Republican” in there somewhere, Senator, and you may be onto something.

From a PR standpoint, Goodell’s first order of business should have been making sure Trump and the White House were nowhere near this announcement. For his personal safety and hanging onto his job, he probably made the right decision. Doesn’t excuse the cowardice he shows.
