81 yrs ago today, 2500 young Americans died in the sand, in the valiant establishing of a Normandy beachhead... They did it to fight fascism & preserve democracy (not just here, but in Europe, too). Our sacrifice needn't be as huge. But, for God's sake, let's not sit by & lose it all.
