The party of “pro-life” wants to kill people. “Pro-life” was always a ruse, religion was always a cover for their eugenicist philosophy

Yep. None of these projects can boast of big long term job creation…90% of the jobs are the construction which is temporary.

LOL for someone who wrote a book decrying MAGA’s war on facts and science/expertise, he sure gets his facts wrong about the history of activism in this country

- Eco-Socialism working group meeting: outlined strategy for pushing for air quality monitoring at schools in Hanover County (the data would help bolster the case against more fossil fuel plants). Discussed planning a trash cleanup event somewhere in the area (in conjunction with another org?) #RVA

Thousands of clean energy projects could be unblocked by expanding the power grid via more transmission lines. Building them along already-existing public rights of way avoids clearing more land, and avoids tussling with property owners.

Big Pharma still under the delusion that only Democrats do things that hurt their bottom line. “We’re sure the Trump administration will help us recoup our profits some other way. Right?……Right?”

@donscott757.bsky.social received $625,000 from Dominion Energy from January 2024 to date, the largest donation from Dominion to House of Delegates members, of either party. No surprise then that the House took no meaningful action to end Dominion’s monopoly or to impose stricter oversight

The vote on the changes was deferred until the next regular meeting (June 20th?) and it sounded like both boards will scrap the designated data center zone, and instead require provisional use permits for ALL future data centers anywhere in the county

opposed to the more restrictive zoning requirements, after which a dozen or so citizens spoke out in favor of the changes. There are definite problems with this plan, however. Not least of which is the fact that 90% of the designated data center zone is already spoken for (future development)
