Hereās a cleaned up version, with the audio echo fixed.
At some point Iāll get my setup dialed in for streaming interviews.

Yeah, not sure why I didnāt think about that earlier. It looks like my ISR update is going to help curb some costs, and guessing Cloudflare will also help round that down as well.
Thanks! Weāll have to jump on another Jam Session soon and catch up on the latest.

Oh man, we didnāt get a chance to talk. Maybe next time!

28 hours and 4,163,053 ISR writes later, I think this is going to result in a cheaper bill, but kind of hard to tell at this point. I think I need to graph some other resources to be sure.
@mubashariqbal.com how are you dealing with bot traffic for @blueskydirectory.com?

Also, so stoked to have tomorrowās episode be the first one to live stream to @stream.place! So if you like your streams targeted at the ATProto, I got you!!

The good news, I know my current architecture can support 2M+ requests served in less than 9 hours. The bad news, Iām not sure if all this bot traffic is going to be worth it in the short term/long term.
As far as bots go, which ones do you think are worth letting crawl your sites?
comment in response to

Already up to 485k+ out 2M of ISR writes! Except, the month doesnāt close until June 17th š¬
I really need to get some supporters supporting, or Iāll have to shut this behemoth down.
What should I add that would get people excited about helping out?

Haha, in classic OpenAI fashion, I was thinking the web client was just a wrapper for the CLI they released. So, annoyingly, I guess maybe not used within the context of your editor, but probably a better experience if this was running along side the code to be able to make more informed decisions.

You can use Cursor to do tangential stuff, other than just generating code, but if you have files in the context I do think it tends to default to code editing.
Regarding Codex, I would assume most people would use it alongside/in their editor to review and confirm the files it's creating/updating.

Yeah, I think most "agents" run in the background and then resurface with artifacts to present from their work. And, I am pretty sure Cursor can do the same if you were to change it to "Background Mode"āalthough I have mainly worked in "Agent Mode".

That's one of the reasons why I wanted to make creating and updating starter packs easier on starterpacks.net, to remove the amount of overhead it takes to create, or maintain, a pack.
comment in response to
post
Yeah, I totally agree. Definitely not as popular as the first way, but if there is a group of people who are bullish about coming over, creating a pack to showcase the people and feeds on Bluesky could be a good way to pull them over.
And then just keep doing that, one-by-one.
comment in response to
post
Yeah, that's a good question. I am still bullish on the power of starter packsāobviouslyāand how they can quickly expose people to a large group of people they are familiar with on the platform.
Other than that, probably cross-posting with the default promoting Bluesky profiles/content.

So sick. Who do I need to talk to so @skylounge.social can be a valid source for livestream content when it goes live at the end of this month!?

to shit, or not to shit...that is the question

Rad! I may be reaching out once @skylounge.social is live at the end of month.

Yeah, Iām hoping it turns out pretty cool. Let me know if you want to test an early version, maybe we can talk Bluesky and atproto and workshop that podcast idea you had.

I am planning on exploring this for @skylounge.social. Like opt-in to get a notification when a room or person goes live.

Haha, thank! Yeah, it couldnāt have been me since my @transistor.fm anniversary was May 6 of 2024, and this episode came out April 2, 2024.

Whatās wild is that the PMTE episode by @justinjackson.ca and @jeremyenns.bsky.social that inspired this recording I thought I had listened to just a couple of weeks ago, but it turns out I had been putting off oiling my chair since Jan. 30 š¬

Oh, maybe I need to dig in more, but I thought it supports taking a WebRTC and converting that to RTMP and vice versa.
comment in response to

Rad. Yeah, I was poking around after asking you about the RTMP support last time and I came across this one that looks interesting, and the fact that you already have some Go going, it might be a good fit for you.

There really needs to be a Postmates-like service where you punch in your project and you get a call from a seasoned handyman who can ask what you already bought, and more details of the project.
Then they buy the right stuff, drop them off, and take and return all the bad buys.
