Excited for the wiki retool! GLHB <>

No one to play Magic with in my life lol, but the art is so nice and, from my middle school knowledge of Magic, the designers did a great job marrying the mechanics from the games into the cards themselves.

Just dealt w/this yesterday for my FIL and his Roku who couldn't figure out why it wouldn't connect to the Internet. Needed to take a patch and just wanted to be restarted. Age-old IT maxims stay undefeated: when in doubt, reboot.

I sprained my elbow last year and my best advice for this (if possible) is to apply cream to the itchy area. We had this leftover from when the kids were dealing with diaper rash and it worked wonders for me. YMMV though: a.co/d/7FSWQ0h

#13. Mario Kart World (Best part of this game is honestly the music. Like the road trip aesthetic and Free Roam is a neat idea, but I'm left wanting to explore older MK tracks. Difficulty feels more balanced and Knockout Tour is a natural fit - ppl are savage at it online though.)

I never switched from the Guan Yu spear they gave as part of the collab, the reach was too good. Real Donatello hours

#12. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 (What a lovely, incredibly memorable RPG. Great themes, music and art is so beautiful and interesting, and turn-based combat that never wore out its welcome. Some messy elements, but I think this is my current GOTY.)

I know it's the march of progress, but this console out of the gate already feels a lot better than OG Switch. Feels like a lot of people who became parents since then (Hi, it's me) will be passing their old consoles to their kids if they aren't already sharing their Switch 2.

A sincere thank you for this PSA @cheapassgamer.com. Much needed clarity on this

#11. Blue Prince (This was my end game. Can see why this game was talked about in some circles. Ultimately would recommend, but I think it's easy to drop off if the RNG doesn't give you the many Aha! moments.)

#10. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (Fun short romp for those of us hooked to Yakuza. How you make cribbing ship, crew, and squad management from other games and give it that over the top but appropriate sheen is amazing.)

Can we put him in the pen with an adult Moo Deng and bill it as the next season of The Apprentice

Gotta say though: Returnal and GT7 as the first games was really killer. Other first games for me when I eventually got a console: N64: SM64 PS1: Crash Bandicoot PS2: Dark Cloud 360: CoD2 and Gears of War PS3: MGS4 PS4: Assassin's Creed Black Flag Switch: Breath of the Wild

This is probably the right move for the business, but holy heck those Joy Con prices. bsky.app/profile/ign....

#9. Citizen Sleeper (Love the vibes of this and some interesting press-your-luck-style dice mechanics. Pretty easy to get yourself to a spot where resources aren't scarce.)

Was just thinking this. Legit led to so many bootlegs and piracy, and Brazilians traveling to US for electronic shopping trips. USAtris!

When I was a kid, many of my Brazilian relatives would explicitly travel to FL to buy cheaper consumer goods (largely clothes + electronics) b/c it was cheaper than buying the same items in-country. Wonder how pervasive this phenomenon will be for Americans if this holds. bsky.app/profile/tamo...

I mean, true BC is up to emulation scene as usual. NSO as a service is interesting if you're a mainstream consumer/unaware of the grey areas. A lot of this is how expensive this hobby and life is all getting (and already was before, tbh). $80-$90 games and accessories - can market bear that?

I liked Burnout Paradise, Forza Horizon, and some of the NFS open world racers, think it has the potential to be interesting, but all of those games have progression/XP systems which MK does not. Agree that Burnout 3 is the best though.

Which is to say: I'm waiting for a deal on a bundle (that Mario Kart World bundle is tempting) or the inevitable mid-cycle upgrade.

#8. Dynasty Warriors Origins - Shu Path (Might clean up other paths. DW is back! Wish the OC was more interesting/more customizable. Lu Bu boss fight is unbalanced AF. Good game though. Hope they take the combat further in the next one.)

#7. Monster Hunter Wilds (Can you ever really finish a MonHun game? Think World was a better intro for most, new monsters are interesting, PC version poorly optimized, you'll slop this up if you're, like me, a sicko for this series)
