Mario Kart World's racing is pretty fantastic and Knockout is a great new mode. But the open world is pretty-damn uninspired and there are so many terrible design decisions that stifle potential fun, I'm kind of shocked. They said the $80 price tag would make sense once we played it. Not even close.

As someone with strong memories of Liquid Television on MTV, especially as someone who recently revisited the series, Blippo on Playdate is speaking straight to my heart. It's so easy to get lost in there, surfing channels and only catching a piece of the whole, but those pieces are still enough.

Mostly liking Mario Kart World, but they made some boneheaded decisions. Races starting as trips to courses is fine as an option, but not too big on it being the norm. The course selection map is cute once, then tedious. Not being able to pop into a single 1-player, 3-lap race vs Comp is insane.

Credit where it's due, Nintendo crushed the full system transfer from Switch to Switch 2. The process was simple, it took very little time and everything carried over without issue. Spent some time checking my Animal Crossing island, Splatoon 3 file, etc. All moved over perfectly.

Switch 2 transfer and full setup took maybe 30 minutes total. Smoother process than expected and, despite what I've seen online, it brought over captures from the OG Switch. Leaving it to download games overnight and it's ready to roll. Really thought it would be a hassle, but happy to be wrong!

I'm 20th in the Switch 2 pre-order line and only got here an hour ago. I think we were all just avoiding the AZ heat as long as possible. So I might actually get home at a decent hour! Plan to set up the system tonight, but wait until tomorrow to play. Old Man Winslett needs his sleep.

Lilo & Stitch plays it about as safe as possible, and some of the magic is lost as a live-action film, but the original meant a LOT to me and I had a nice time with this remake. I laughed, I teared up, I laughed some more. Also, I would go to war for Maia Kealoha. She is precious.

Decided to transfer a 19GB game from the Switch console to the memory card. Just wanted everything in one place. It will take 1 hour 10 minutes and the console will go to sleep if I don't wiggle the thumbstick every 5 minutes. Baffling.
