I don't disagree with that at all and am certainly hoping for it. I was charmed for several hours, then that just bottomed out for me. And as far as I can tell, I can't even goof off with friends without it forcing us to race every few minutes.

To be fair, the racing really is a lot of fun. They just made a lot of weird decisions that get in the way of that fun for me. Amd maybe I'm too stuck on the price, but don't give me a fraction of what a Forza Horizon offers and a price tag $20 higher.

If I've learned anything from shopping this time of year, it's that all dads want only the following: Golf-related things for their fancy offices, those pliars that have 37 additional functions, anything leather, knives, things to put on their big office desks and toiletry bags.

Correct. It can still only be on one console, though. So it moves it over and you'll no longer have it on your old system. Same with saves for games like Pokémon, Splatoon and Monster Hunter.

That last one is my biggest gripe by far. I can't turn on Mario Kart World, choose a course and just race the computer around it and be done. It's not an option. Makes zero sense.

I enjoy them well enough. But the presentations do come off feeling like as big an act as the other shows, but in the opposite direction on vibe scale. All marketing to specific crowds, so I get it.

Yeah, dude, if there isn't a Switch 2 exclusive you are just dying to play, it really is just an upgraded Switch. That's not a knock against it, just saying it's not a night and day scenario. Waiting a year or two makes total sense for that new library to actually build.

I was just about to post about this. Everything transferred exactly as I'd hoped but figured was impossible because, we'll, Nintendo. Same with all the "console locked" games. Moved from Switch to Switch 2 with zero issues in the full transfer.
