In addition to protest marches and rallies, we have many other options for peaceful resistance.
These two web sites outline many nonviolent strategies. You can choose the ones that work best for your community.

I'm imagining a cabinet with all the Sega machines on display but actually just running a raspberry pi behind the scenes.
Maybe even wiring some LEDs to indicate which console is being "played" (which emulator is running) for funsies.

I remember that feeling!!
My first trip to NYC, my friends and I had a list of to-dos. My only one (besides be in NYC) was Microcenter. Went to the one in Brooklyn. It was so amazing. Never thought I'd see multiple isles dedicated to custom water cooling loops or random PC parts & cables....

I feel like bsky is still kind of algorithmic, while Mastodon is very much just posts by who you follow, and in the order of posting. Plus I think most bsky was an Exodus away from Twitter, whereas Mastodon was an enthusiastic movement toward nerd stuff.

Had a conversation of bsky v mastodon where my experience has been more politics on bsky and more tech/real posts on Mastodon, but others seem to have the opposite experience. I have theories about why but nothing conclusive.

Very nice! I have an older pair of Xreal glasses and was just thinking the other day about building something with that as the primary display. I'm thinking of a box you hold accordion-like (though much smaller) and somehow keyboard input from there, maybe a thumbpad, trackball, or track point too.

I remember reading about hackerspaces when I lived in nowhere Arkansas. Probably a significant part of why I became an urbanite.
