All we can do is pretend it's funny, I guess. God how frustrating.

Omg same... Like what are you supposed to talk about when 3/4 of the day is spent lying flat trying to avoid hurting yourself? I hate how selfish disability makes me feel :/
I'm sure you're not as bad as you sound in your head though

It's valid to feel that way about birthdays. I do too, though less than you. But it is a societally-accepted way to recognize that you appreciate a person's presence in your life, so let me say that! I'm so glad you're here. You've been a big parasocial part of my life and I'm happy you're alive.

Hating Nazis doesn't make you the same as Nazis, it makes you a capable judge of character who has observed the actions of your countrymen and found them worthy of violent retribution. Let go of this and you have our current predicament, impotent liberalism clinging to the belly of the fascist wolf.

Same!!! I used to bleach it until my hair was like spider silk. It would fall off in clumps if it got wet. I stopped around COVID and haven't picked it up again but I went through every colour of the rainbow :)

I get that. I've been cutting my own hair for like 25 years now and I basically just cut and cut and cut until I either like what I see or I've messed my hair up so bad it can't be fixed haha

PS I don't think you have THIN hair, you have FINE hair. There's a big difference. I have fine hair too, and it sucks to deal with because I want big beautiful mermaid hair but it just doesn't do that. Knowing is half the battle though, right? Lol.

Also - try layering your bangs. That can make them look thicker than just a blunt cut straight across. youtu.be/i6ySRY8aSD0?...

Which is perfectly normal for bangs, BTW.

It takes a lot of work to get bangs looking cute! I spray the shit out of them with dry shampoo so they're nice and fluffy for at least 2 days, and then I curl them under with a mini flat iron, and spray them into place with firm hold hairspray. If I don't do that, my bangs look like yours.

I feel like coral is even cooler than a dinosaur tooth, what a lucky find.

Listen, something happens after you become a mom. I don't even like sauces and yet I've got an entire shelf devoted to various sauces and dressings.

I think that's how normal bangs look. To make mine look thick, they go halfway up my head. It also doesn't help that your hair is blonde; I bet they'd look thicker in another colour. Your hair is really cute.

Seeing a dermatologist would be a good idea. I had what I thought was just dry patches but it's actually psoriasis.

Bi men go on there, other trans fem people are on there. Grindr isn't just used by and for cis gay men.

Don't worry. Just don't assume every Canadian is honour bound to be patriotic.

It's stupid that every single one of my indigenous cousins living on the reserve were witnesses to one or more suicides before they even turned 18.

It's also pretty stupid that I knew about starlight tours as a little kid, at least 10 years before any white people paid attention to them, because my dad had to be on constant alert in case the cops came for him.

I think it's stupid that within the first few hours of me giving birth both times, a social worker was in my hospital room trying to figure out if I was indigenous enough to take my kids and they pretty much stepped back when they saw my white partner.

It's pretty stupid that my elders were raped, experimented on, and abused in residential schools and the government of Canada is trying to let them all die waiting for litigation to end rather than taking actual responsibility for what it did.

I'm Coast Salish, I'd say it's stupid that my tribe has never had a treaty with the government of Canada and therefore our land remains unceded despite being forced to live on a reserve we were only allowed because settlers didn't want it.

I was thinking of sending my daughters to visit their auntie in Washington for a summer but we'll be staying in Canada for the foreseeable future. I can't believe the US got me feeling almost patriotic about this stupid country.

cadre of shitty little nephews going around flipping a whole bunch of switches they don't understand to please their nearly 60 year old boss who DESPERATELY wants them to think he's cool

PS here's my two daughters when they were teeny tiny - the little bee and the warrior princess have been cool feminists who love the colour pink since birth. The princess especially is ALL about flouncy gowns and kicking ass while wearing them.

It's 2025 and many Indigenous people still don't have safe drinking water. The 60s scoop turned into the millennial scoop and now we don't even have a word for what's happening to our children because the scoops don't stop coming. Canada is an evil place.
