Whiskey had surgery and is recovering well. We might even be able to bring him home tomorrow. Unfortunately, it looks like one of his kidneys can’t be saved. 😔 We’re waiting on another blood test, which will hopefully show that medication can compensate for the lost kidney function. 🤞

„How To Live“ by Derek Sivers if you’re looking for something short-ish but impactful. 👌 Runner ups: It Doesn’t Have To Be Crazy At Work, The Psychology of Money, Company of One.

Quick update: Whiskey is staying in an intensive care unit at the moment. Looks like his kidneys are failing him. Trying everything we can to get his body strong enough so he has a chance of surviving surgery. The past three days have been a rough ride… 😫

I'm similar to you; I couldn't do it without integrating it into some other activity. Walks with the dog. That's my usual podcast space a few times a week. 🐕 🎧

I experimented with that effect as well for our new product, but in the end, I decided to simply go for a non-progressive blur. It looked like the backdrop was buggy.

Also: bonus snoot. Our other cat wanted to be in the frame too, apparently. 😅

I’m a kindle guy, unfortunately. 😅

Didn’t know about their reader, but that looks fantastic!

Readwise is awesome! I’ve been using it since day one in beta. 👏 Can’t count the number of times a highlight from books I’ve read made my day or get new ideas on how to tackle a current problem.

Used raindrop before making the switch to Pocket. Might be the solution, bit I’m sure there was a reason I left all those years ago. 🙈

I still share a lot about how we run a calm business. Engagement is definitely way less then it was on X, however. 😔 Im fairly new on Bluesky, so I might just have to find the right people to connect with.

Sure, always subjective. I don't miss the buttons _at all_ and my S still has parking sensors. 🙈 However, the software and charging network are miles ahead of any other carmaker at the moment. I've tried lots of them over the past couple of months.

I think you might need to talk to someone about your Starbucks addiction. 😂 That said, it does look like a cool place!

Right? Ging mir bei getavitu.com auch so. 🥰

Getting a dog was the best life upgrade. In addition to well… having a super cute dog. It forces you to take breaks, and 10k steps are easily done on a daily basis. 😅

Congrats, John! It’s a shame we never got to meet in person while you were living in Austria, but I’ve been following you and Ghost for a while now, and you’re doing all the right things in a space that’s often full of hype and noise. 👏 👏 👏

The 11Pro is mainly used as my on-the-go device when I know that I have mostly writing or admin work on my plate. I also edit most of my photos on that device. The mini is perfect for browsing, YouTube, and any other sort of content consumption. I also use it in the plane for checklists/nav etc.

R.A. Salvatore. Never finished the Drizzt series when I was younger, so I gave it another try. Currently at book 16. And I just had to look it up: It's actually 39, not 33. 🤯 … Committed now, though. 😅

Never heard of it, but I'm intrigued. Need something to break up my 32 book series anyway. 😅

The main issue: i wouldn’t want to take it everywhere. I work from so many different places that it just doesn’t make sense. 🥲

I love the romantic idea of it, but I could never make that work for me 😅

They are super cute together, though. 🥹
