Well this version of Supes is clearly different from its predecessors. Last portrayal was like early DC comics, where he had God-like status. Then, they introduced vulnerabilities to make him more relatable to humans. Even tho the chapter reads Gods & monsters,we know where he stands on the spectrum

No. 2 seated. This is the only pose where her shadow is to the side and not obscured by her body. It creates a metaphor for the soul or one's own darkness as one's own silhouette. Some photographers and painters like to infuse/ hide meanings in pictures.
