The only thought I have is that their method for 'making America healthy again' means that anyone sick or injured should simply die. The most insanely short-sighted method of medical care. If you simply remove every injured or damaged organ in a body, you're quickly left with a dead body.

Sagittarius: You will be eaten today by an angry, carnivorous tree. A spruce as it turns out.

I call this piece 'Zen Interrupted.' Joe was not at all thrilled with me coming in to put the food bowl where he had his butt.

Didn't quite come out the way I'd have liked. But working with tiny gems is bloody fiddly...

Poor Joe has been majorly stress grooming. He's chewed off the fur by both of his legs. I just wish I could give him a hug.

Your brief moment of feral zen this morning. Feeding time. Joe's either really calm again, or feeling too miserable to be worked up. No hisses from him today. The boys are enjoying their morning food/petting ritual. Little Tiger's getting more interested in pets when it's not food time.

Always nice to be boxing things up in the morning. I built a special 3D printed jig for the inserts to make folding them on the creases easier and more exact, 'cause there are a LOT of little creases that have to get folded without tearing the insert. Makes my world SO much easier when packaging.

Your brief moment of feral zen this morning. The boys get their first breakfast (I just fed them second breakfast), and Joe is overgrooming. Stressed boy.

Not that anyone wears French cuffs these days (except me sometimes), but we can make most of our stud earring designs as cufflink designs (or vice versa).

12 years ago today, this little 3 year old feral cat came home to live with me. It was... a rough first year, and some difficult years after, but she's now the sweetest little lovebug in the house. Her cancer has left her a little less fuzzy, but no less lovable. Happy homecoming, Sansa!

Your brief moment of feral zen. Feeding time. This was yesterday morning. This morning's feeding time was early and quick. Joe's sniffles are coming back, so we're working on plans for a longer term antibiotic if we can figure out how to administer it to the ornery old fellow.

Someone has discovered a new hiding place…

Your brief moment of feral zen this morning. All the young boys are trying to use the same platform of the cat tree, entranced by the birdsong and the scent of the garden after last night's rain.

And this morning's bonus moment of zen: post-feeding time with the boys.

A memory of freedom...

We've two native pines here (Pinus taeda and Pinus echinata) that are quite difficult to tell apart. The bark is a bit of a giveaway, but the readiness with which they hybridize can make them even trickier. The cones, however? Dead giveaway.

Still working on this design. It's getting there. Bit by bit. When I can spare the time.

Well this is disappointing. A useful site. Are there alternatives?

Your brief moment of fluffy zen this morning. She saw one of the boys through the cat gate, and she needs reassuring that she is the only cat in the house who matters.

The production reality for brass prototypes... If I include Asia in the list for production, I can get the part for $18.58 (plus $38 shipping). If I drop Asia and include everywhere else, the price bumps up to $312 with $100 shipping. North America only? Not even an option.

Well... it's World Bee Day. We don't really have any bee jewellery per se... but we DO have these lovely Beehive Earrings!

Friend of mine runs a chocolaterie and patisserie here locally. He's hard at work on graduation things atm. A giant stack of profiteroles on the Tech tower. I told him he needed to make the T on this one easy to remove.

Today's brief moment of feral zen: Little Tiger attacks a toy. He chewed the cord in half already once today, and broke this toy twice. But they're having a lot of fun with it. Big Tiger's watching from his sheltered spot under the papasan ottoman.

This morning's moment of feral zen. Joe's finally feeling less terrified that he's going to get snatched. He's been hiding a good bit since the vet visit. This morning, it's back to hissing from his pillow. He's still gurgly, but he sounds a lot better than he had been. Antibiotics may be working.

If you see this, post your green art! I'm posting an OLD one (10 years ago maybe?). I haven't turned a stopper in forever. But this was back when I was mixing wood and gems a lot.

This little boy, fast asleep against his toy... Was a rough morning for the kids (and Arya). Rain and thunder. Arya hid under the bed. The boys hid in their 'cave.' Little Tiger here came and hung out with me far away from the windows. Sansa is the only cat in the house unbothered by rain.

I'll take better pics of this new design (just finished) at some point. But this was a somewhat unexpected side-effect of the design. There are alternating openings and flats. But when you view the earring top down, the reflections make it tricky to determine which are holes and which are reflected.

This little girl came home 12 years ago today. She's been my shadow ever since.

Big Tiger ended up somehow on the other side of the cat gate this morning after running from the vets. I know he can jump it. But I've never seen him do it in a panic like that. And then he sat up in the top of the cat tree, terrified because he was cut off from his brothers, and on the Arya side.

This morning’s moment of feral unhappiness. Joe gets caught and sedated for his checkup. He’s being a very good boy.

As a jewellery store, we're on a zillion mailing lists for suppliers for the retail trade. Since we don't carry other people's designs (unless by request for a custom job), it's not really the kind of thing I pore over much, but I get posts about 'trends' in jewellery. And I always wonder... 1/3

She’s big mad. But her anemia is such that we’re taking her oft chemo for now. We don’t know what that will mean for her future or longevity, but please send her all the well wishes.

Your brief moment of feral zen this morning. Feeding time. The kids are excited. Joe's... less so. Only two more days until he gets his vet checkup. Internist visit for one of the girls tomorrow. A busy week of pet wrangling.

@stoutheartstudio.com Here's the very brief wanderthrough of part of the front garden. I'd have done more, but it got longer than I expected, it's mostly more of the same (trees and weeds), and the mosquitos are insane already. Lots of rain. Super warm. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHo7...

Your brief moment of feral zen this morning: Two Bands getting brushed. He seems to like brushing more than pets (none of them ESPECIALLY like either yet, but they're making great strides... you know... except Joe, who's not really a touchy feely cat yet).

Hey, publishing? They’re trying to dismantle intellectual property. So they can profit but you cannot.

Some #Lines for today's #BlueSkyArtShow This is the only view of life prisoners would have gotten from inside the old Atlanta Prison Farm (that was torn down to make 'Cop City'). #Photography #EastCoastKin

Some #Lines for today's #BlueSkyArtShow An weathered red door leading to the 'farm' at the old Atlanta Prison Farm (that was torn down to make 'Cop City'). I've no idea where the original negative for this image is. One of the many images I've lost over the years. #Photography #EastCoastKin

Our official mother's day pic for tomorrow, and the alternate. The charm bracelets are going to my own mother and my wife (who's a wonderful mother to 6 cats -- which is a lot of work). Making jewellery for my mom feels kind of construction paper card to me, but she'll tell me she likes it anyway.

Has anyone had any experience appealing a denied copyright? I'd like to pick your brain if I might.

Worried about the old boy. Spending time close to him when I can. I can’t get TOO close, as that’s still quite dangerous. But he’s so tired right now, he doesn’t fight much with me being nearby.

After the rain, some of the mushrooms on Lord Howe Island glow in the dark.
