Our wacky local custom has spread so far - they told us in Coventry it was actually the Ponies that insisted Robbie finish this song and include it on their joint album. But whether it'll cross the Atlantic, who knows?

It was filmed on the 8th February - British style is day/month/year. I sometimes have to think twice when I see dates on Home Free videos and they are month first.

I'm pretty sure it was a column in Private Eye, back when I used to write on mentions of Tolkien in the press for Amon Hen, who phrased it in that particular way. But I couldn't tell you when except between 1998 and 2008.

Complete stranger chiming in to say I don't get it either. I follow people I think are interesting, and apart from people I already know from elsewhere, I don't expect anyone to follow me back. But if someone does, I don't assume bad faith, unless they have other red flags.
