Feels like we’re taking what’s happening in the US more seriously than a lot Americans are
hope that’s not the case. Asset allocation will inevitably be slightly different going forward. This is a decade long repair job the US has on its hands as far as trust and confidence goes from a foreign pov.

Honest question
why hasn’t he been arrested yet? Is there even an open investigation at this point?

I think we (EM) need to get much louder about pushing for this

Would love to see you and your party be significantly louder in pushing the case for rejoining the CU & SM. The Brexit omertĂ  in parliament must end and this hard Brexit Labour government must be held to account imo.

What’s even more extraordinary in my opinion is we now have former remainers actively backing this disastrous Brexit in government. Not forgetting the Liberal and Green Party’s who barely mention it or advocate rejoining.

They will of course also continue to spew hatred with their indignant righteousness in our country while contributing little, if anything, to making our country better through taxation.

What I don’t understand about these far right faux-patriots is dodging tax will always trump their hatred of immigrants to the point they will choose to become one
although of course they feel the need to call themselves expats to cushion their ego and not confront reality too closely.

😂😂😂
a lot of projection here, I am not SD or Clearlake apologist, if fact you know exactly zero of my opinions about them. We are also now so far from what I was originally talking about - a journo with a throw away comment being extrapolated to make a conclusion with little relevance.

You both make good points
but for me when journalists make these kind of comments they often lack nuance. So for me, as Dmitry says, these players aren’t goal machines from the wing/wide forward position; but, as a system fit with a new coach they can help the team score more.

I think the issue here is “Matt Law said”
good journalists, but shouldn’t be taken as gospel imo

Unfortunately this is easily abused with simple loopholes

An interesting but flawed and lazy analysis. I also see the usual property owners trope is wheeled out as lazily as the rest, by someone who clearly has zero understanding of commercial property.

I believe the profit margin was changed back in 2023 to variable rate instead of the flat 1.9% so when the cap goes up the % goes down and when the cap drops the % goes up. I believe they now calculate it quarterly with the cap. I believe they changed it to allow the energy co’s to recoup losses

I would like to see them reduce or abolish the standing charge and pay for it by reducing the overly generous profit margin within the cap tbh

They are unavoidable unfortunately

UK politicians are just exasperating, honestly, where do we even start.
