I'm enjoying watching Schumer slowly catch up on how politics in the internet age works.

I'm no expert, but maybe doing something that always backfires isn't a good idea this time either.

I don't think the Italians are about to change their opinion on pizza, a dish they, ya know, invented. Some things are more sacred than God.
I can't wait for the video on the inevitable future Pope Fights that's about to break out between the Vatican and US president.

The giants in the book always bugged me because they got no description of any kind. I felt validated by how the movie made that scene stand out awkwardly like it did in the book. So much of the worldbuilding feels like it fits together, but the giants never quite fit. Even the ents got a backstory.

I had an incompetent coworker who used it for everything. It did not make them any more competent. It has some very specific uses that it is helpful for, one of which is knowing which coworkers aren't skilled enough to do things for themselves.

I want to know what the planning meeting was like for deciding to go with Telemachus instead of Oedipus. The discussion had to come up at some point.

We covered this one on my podcast. Basically our conclusion was you could probably throw some pretty fancy/wild parties if they did it.

Just watched the OSP production of Julius Ceaser yesterday, the Ides of March. The "Et tu, Burte?" gag was top notch.

Republicans have total control of all three branches of government, yet somehow a shutdown would be... the Democrat's fault???
If Republicans don't want responsibility, all Republicans must resign from public office.

Who'd have thought that the people shouting "Never Forget" are now just deciding to "forget" so they can pay for billionaire tax cuts?

While, yeah, we aspire to that, it wouldn't assume our equipment was high quality without its training data saying stuff like that. That's how you know so much of the world is made up BS to begin with. Everyone's out here upselling everything so much AI just assumes that's what I want.

I've long supported an income tax that gets repaid through the PFD so that it only affects non-residents.

I made 3 custom feeds for myself on bluesky. One for real life friends, one for news feeds I'd normally get through rss, and one for the creators I actually want to follow. It's a better system than other platforms, but requires knowing what you want to setup. Reminds me of the old Google+ circles.
