FIFA have supposedly said that they have sold 1.5M tickets. There's 64 matches so that's less than 24,000 tickets sold per match. That's less than half filled stadiums. The Dortmund match yesterday was embarrassingly empty and no way was there 22,000 at the Chelsea match!

I think he doesnt rate him defensively and therefore isn't sure how to fit him in. I'd guess he sees Reece James at right back if he stays fit

It also varies drastically from club to club. We won a bunch of fa cups while not really competing in the league. Was it nice to win a trophy? Yes. Was it a good season? No. If we'd beaten Newcastle and won the league cup, this season would still be a disappointment for arsenal. Expectations matter.

I ask myself why do clubs want champions league as a priority over trophy hunting.
Why do you want champion league? To get more money.
What do you want the money for? To buy better players
Why do you want better players? To win trophies

Itβs about making memories. Those can come from qualifying and the journey across Europe but ultimately nothing beats the buzz of a trophy. I waited 43 years for one. Memories with those that matter though is what I take from it all.
