It's a federal offense to attend a protest via automobile or public transit, apparently.

And then we all agreed to come together as one. Thank goodness THAT'S all in the past now.

They prefer people like MLK and Jackie Robinson to be turn-the-other-cheek martyrs instead of the smart, strategic fighters they were. And they prefer ALL their civil rights heroes to be dead so they can keep them in their preferred little boxes, unable to fight back.

POS Sanctuary Cities exist because they make communities SAFER. Protecting undocumented immigrants is a boon to law enforcement because those immigrants are more willing to cooperate with police. But I guess public safety was never the point, was it?

Grew up in San Diego. We went to Tijuana as kids all the time, tons of Mexican friends. None of the hatred makes any f*cking sense.

"Shifty Schiff" is one of Trump's grotesque nicknames. Call him a shithead for all I care, but beware of fascist framing. Respectfully. You may not have known, and we all make mistakes.
comment in response to post
Do NOT use Trump nicknames, please.

On the bright side, they're both very bad at it.

Famously leftist. It's not like "corrupt, fascist LA cop" hasn't been the focus of like 10 million movies, books, and TV shows. It's its own freaking genre!

I've seen more than a few comments endorsing violence. I THINK he's referring to the proposed riots, not the peaceful protests of the civil rights movement. Just a guess.

We're buying goggles and saline, but NOT clubs.

It's still good news. Naturally, they have to turn this regular guy into a supervillain.

This is Leopold II erasure. Seriously, the Scramble for Africa isn't taught nearly enough. It's as evil as it gets.

SINCE THE '80s!!! Infuriating.

That's almost too good to be true.

Welcome! Those opposed to welcoming ex-Republicans also bemoan that "40% approval for Trump is still too high!" If we wanna get him to the 25% approval we really need to fix things, we'll have to welcome MILLIONS of Trump voters.

I thought the same thing. And Germany WAS rearmed fairly quickly for that very reason. MacArthur was in Japan anyway. He had nothing to do with Europe. Gah! The ignorance! It burns!
comment in response to post
Minor point. Did MacArthur ever say, "Never let Germany rearm?" Like, famously? He was only in the Pacific Theater, so he would have had ZERO influence. Trump doesn't know this and is only aware of two American WWII generals, so I'd like to confirm that this is horsesh*t.

Well done. Cuomo is such a ghoul.

I feel like vibes are the nature of things in presidential politics. FDR, Ike, JFK, Reagan, Obama, Trump - policy is always second to the "feel" of the candidate. You want emotional resonance at all times.

You failed to protect the people you serve. End of story.

That's pretty neat! I didn't know that. Lincoln considered the free and soon-to-be-free black troops the Union's secret weapon. There's no doubt it influenced his thinking on equal rights.

He grew SO MUCH over the course of just 4 years. He was an extremely intelligent and empathetic man. Constantly evolving and able to stand outside of himself to evaluate both his own values and the time in which he lived.

Remember when they complained the Harris campaign was only "vibes"? VIBES IS HOW YOU WIN! The substance is in the policy, but policy doesn't do shit in campaigns. So, naturally, they cut back on the couch jokes and "weird", and spoke at length about their 17-point plan to help black businesses.
comment in response to post
Yes, with simple, emotional, variations such as, "Stop trying to search little girls' pants!" It's why Walz's "Mind your own damn business!" was so effective... until he was told to stop saying it.

Because she did a musical with Hillary? Should we condemn anyone who collaborates with people who aren't sufficiently anti-Hamas? These litmus tests don't seem helpful to me.

The GOP has embraced only the worst parts of the Soviet economy.

These people pretend they care about Palestinians, and it's frankly hilarious. The left gets a hard-on for genocide. They love that shit.

Now THAT'S antisemitism! Your initial statement wasn't. You should probably look inward a little on this.

Oops! Went a little off the deep end there.

And... there we have it.

Okay, who is this guy? And why am I getting these ridiculous posts. Communism suuuucks. This shouldn't be controversial. Japan has INSANE public transit, and you can worship how you choose, have free speech, and a whole buncha guaranteed rights you'll never have in China.

@w7voa also said that though he recognizes the importance of the femur as the largest bone in the body, he wasn't sure why it had its own federal agency and had Googled it upon his appointment.
