Friends, let’s direct our ire and our rhetorical fire towards those whose public histories demonstrate their enmity towards constitutional democracy and human dignity. Let’s not leap to conclusions about private citizens whom we don’t know.

This is shocking. It calls for a public outcry to demand accountability from those responsible.

Wonderfully complex characters, gorgeous cinematography, fascinating moral dilemmas, and a delicious lack of the line "I've got a bad feeling about this". Simply, as my son puts it, "Star Wars for grown ups".

It's tragic to see all of the DINO accusations here. I had hoped that purity tests would be limited to the other party (or, better yet, completely eradicated). Please focus on discussing the proposals here based on their merits and the evidence that you have that they are good or poor solutions.

I so do not want 250 apps to interact with 250 different companies! The 1 app per parking garage/lot example is a perfect illustration of how annoying that is.

Quist takes a couple of swipes at the GOP supermajority in the Legislature: "Utahns are tired of paying to defend unconstitutional laws in court and losing those cases." "I would rather have principles and no policy than policies and no principles."

I thought I saw you there! I'm excited about this development. I've been a United Utah Party member for a few years, and it's been great. The energy in the room was fantastic, and I feel like it demonstrates that the two parties together can generate momentum.

They were found guilty of a full blown attack on our country, domestic terrorism, and they somehow walk free among us. None of them were sent to prison for life, and none of them were sent to prison in El Salvador.

Someone needs to ask Mr. Miller how many Jan. 6 rioters are in a gulag in El Salvador.

Just sent messages to my legislators that it might be more important to stand up to King George-style tyranny than wasting resources on this kind of stuff.

This entire thread is very insightful and I agree with it. I have a recommendation for you: The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson, and especially the first book, The Way of Kings. It explores a lot of complexity and specifically pushes against the winners/losers cultural idea.

My point *isn't* that religion doesn't have a lot to answer for (it does!). I just find the "primary cause" assertion to be common, but inaccurate. As someone of faith, it is my view that religion (especially based on Jesus' teachings) should be the source of peace, not conflict!

With respect, please consider this (subjective) list of the top 10 world attrocities: Second World War, Mao Zedong's reign, Mongol conquests, An Lushan Revolt, Ming dynasty's fall, Taiping Rebellion, annihilation of the American Indians, Joseph Stalin's rule, Mideast & Atlantic slave trades

Things Jesus consistently, emphatically was not: political, power-hungry, self-serving. Jesus' words: "No man can serve two masters". Who are we serving?

The Bitcoin as a hedge narrative has been proven false. The only surprising thing is that it hasn't dropped more in the last few days. That is probably due to the fact that it is a manipulated market (whales) where almost all of the supply is controlled by a very few players.

This (as a Christian) is what is on my mind the most at this period of time. This administration, which was overwhelmingly supported by Christians, targeted charitable organizations *first*.

Oh! If you get a chance and are into hiking, hike up to the top of Solsbury Hill. We loved being able to get a bird's eye view of the area.

Lovely pictures. They remind me of one of my most embarrassing moments in the UK - grinding around the Circus in first gear because I was still getting used to other-side manual cars and couldn't take my eyes off the pedestrians to find second. I kinda ruined the atmosphere for folks there for a sec

Bath is incomparable. Wonderful place (we especially loved the Jane Austin Centre). For my money, the most eye-popping place I've seen in the UK is Knaresborough. Wowzer.

Listening to Senator Curtis now. I'm going on record: he is a good person. I know he doesn't always do what we want, but he's really trying. We're all entitled to mistakes. I really feel like he is going to do his best. I also believe he is listening to us, and that is critical. I'm optimistic.
