One of I certainly agree with. The villain needed some better background, but that is true of the Kelvin series as a whole. I was curious as soon as Justin Linn and Pegg were confirmed. People talked about the F&F films being good for their family dynamic and bringing that to Trek was good.

That's sad but might be in keeping with the remakes so far. I heard much better reviews around 1st compared to 2nd.

I really want to see more Front Mission. We only got 3 in the UK/EU until Evolve. I got the DS version thanks to region free handhelds but not sought the later games in emulation yet but will likely be the only way to do so.

I guess it could be worse. You might've been doing Anne McCaffery Brain and Brawn books which are exactly what you say she wants. But then cast her as a ships brawn rather than the mind controlling the ship/Station.

Wasn't this Samuel L Jacksons plan in the first Kingsmen?

I'm pretty sure she only went back to earlier in the Prime timeline when the multiverses were still close enough to avoid her being torn apart. The test shows that she is not the despot she once was and so not Mirror universe mentality anymore. She isn't UFP/Starfleet material either.

I've loved the Akula/Apollo Refit since SFC. Seeing it in STO has been a longing since Agents of Yesterday. And Star Trek Continuum for Homeworld Renastered was as close as I have gotten. Doubly so when Stellar Paralax axed the Ages of the Federation 2 mod for Sins Rebellion.

In Picard they say that holodecks have a completely separate and independent power which can't be accessed or diverted etc etc. Supposedly to create a more relaxing shelter or crew space in dire times if all else fails and the ship will be lost with no chances to escape. Aka a silly plot device.

Be aware you may encourage folks to grab your ear and talk about your pah. :)

You've yet to watch Star Trek Picard season 3.

Ah the Brit Pop wars of the 90s. You were Team Oasis, or Blur, maybe Pulp. But like soap operas and talent shows you could only apparently enjoy one and hate the others. Personally I was team Prodigy and KLF with some Helter-skelter or Drealmscape rave stuff when I saw a guy selling tapes of them.

Then there were bits in their video like why does this scene repeat but with upbeat music? Picard just got his motivation back and the music is for a renewed Picard with a purpose. Even if it turns our to be sheer funking hubris.

I'm guessing they didn't enjoy DS9 as there was a mention of Voyager but DS9 readily explored the snakes hidden within a seeming paradise. Its easy to be a Saint in paradise but the Maquis don't live in paradise. Out there in the DMZ all the problems haven't been solved yet. There are no saints.

Always figured he was more into aquatics and fish keeping. I gather off screen it is Sir Stewarts actual dog and I think a rescue which is nice.

Probably based out of Ferenginar or Orion now as few places still capitalistic then. Imagining them trying to excuse their monopolies and excesses as everyone else is waking up to post scarcity and no longer needing wealth.

Same. Hopefully you can keep finding ways to make the time. My book pile of shame is over 400 waiting to read...

Oops. Soldier is a new setting. My bad.

I've fallen off reading too much recently but the first three trilogies in that world are amazing. Fitz/Fool and the Liveship Traders.

Depends on how much breadtube you follow. His antics have been covered for a while. After he was shunned for the minors thing he ended up as an intern under MTG. Then jumped on Ye with the presidential run stuff. Then supposedly helping the clothing line after Addidas etc ditched Ye. Now this.

Apparently you can hire mounts during festivals as well. So whenever Halloween begins in game or similar could be a good time to play some more?
comment in response to post
Looks like that trial lasts 10 hours and then you need to buy Path of Fire for a permanent version. Reddit says mounts only got added then so most maps are designed around your chosen class sprint type ability to cover ground along with generous way points. I've honestly not played much myself.
comment in response to post
Did you buy any expansions yet or just trying the basic free experience? You get a mount at level 10 or trial access as free play.

The Nerada hailed the Kelvin and told them to send the captain so some stuff would've been extrapolated from the information gleened before George Kirk rammed them. Just having a Vulcan like face on screen would kick things off a lot there. There was also the Earth/Romulan war in Ent era for Intel.

I was always sad that it seemed lost and forgotten with Invasion being a late PS1 game. Then the Star Trek Armada 3 Modders added it there. And Star Trek Online when they did an end game Norway class.

I love seeing the Valkyrie get love.

The classic British dystopian game Syndicate springs to mind. Masses fed false realities through brain chips. Augmented Corp agents subverting their will via Persuadatron into being allies or masses of fleshy shields against other agents or authorities that the Corp is acting against.

Probably not, but vaporisation should clear the path.

And I agree that they were not great shows. Something like S2 could've worked as a mini series/TV movie more than a 10 hour series. The idea of a Q facing mortality of sorts wants to make amends and help those that had an impact upon him aka Picard could be great and mostly worked from that side.
comment in response to post
Okay. So spoiling a reveal in S3. Geordi is promoted to Commodore and oversees a fleet museum. He gets the saucer retrieved from the planet along with whatever survived the crash there which would be quite a bit in storage etc.
comment in response to post
The short answer is Geordi. I am assuming you finished season 3 of Picard?
comment in response to post
I would like more exploration of the lost era and post Picard. Mostly I just really want more good stories and more ships. Enough for another Eaglemoss/Hero Collector to take up. :)
comment in response to post
I haven't read much of the book/comic stuff myself. Star Trek Online made them interesting but is not remotely Canon in their stories of course. I fear we are going to go into a new drought of Trek screen content. Section 31 being cut down to a TV movie effectively and we don't have Academy details.

The loss of the Oddyssey was the beginning of the change. Showing that big luxurious ships like a Galaxy class had major flaws. And so ships like the Saber, Steamrunner and Akira would be Greenlit. Also the combat minded Sovereign and Prometheus. Eventually to production Defiants as well.

Arguably the UFP had not had a near peer conflict since the Klingons and Kirks days. There is a lot of talk about how stuff created in peace will find its flaws in combat. That designers can't really foresee what new battles will need. See stuff like the FN FAL. How the Borg and Dominion changed it.
comment in response to post
The Cardassians were a smaller nuisance without the power to really go outside their borders as their withdrawal from Bajor proved. It was the Dominion machinations that then pushed things into what would become the dominion war.
comment in response to post
I wonder if the books have explored that more. But yes. Clearly the UFP is conflict averse. They would rather appease and buy time. Which ultimately created the Maquis and their supporters again as Sisko points out. Beaurocracy thought the Cardassians would settle down. Arguably it worked...

Yeah. From writing lyrics to the TOS theme or creating IDIC for merch. The fact he was sleeping with Majel and Nichelle. He was problematic and a man of his time. But that still gives a hopeful future. A hope of a humanity that can overcome and become more than we are now.
comment in response to post
Yeah. Although I could also see a body that oversees hundreds of worlds deciding that a scant few to appease another power being a worthwhile trade when things seemed to be in a golden age of peace and expansion. Klingons settling down. Romulans quiet for a century+. Hindsight shows the error though
