According to the City of Paris, in the last 10 years 150K trees have been planted & 45ha of parks created in the already hot city, all intended to not only improve quality-of-life today, but also help the city adapt to & manage summer heatwaves of 50℃ (122F) by 2050. They’ll be planting a lot more.

the reason these trucks look “silly” is that they have large windshields and a low hood, which increases visibility and reduces risk to pedestrians. trucks like this should look normal and F-150s should be the silly ones

I'm sure Eric Adams will be fine stuffing his head in a fridge for three or so consecutive days. (Don't rank him. Or Cuomo.)

A really clever idea from @vanshnookenraggen.com -- www.vanshnookenraggen.com/_index/2025/...

In other words, a bike boulevard turns into a school street turns into a bike boulevard. #bikeNYCgoals

Tonight, I'll go home and sleep in my bed. I have a lawyer, I'll get due process. But Edgardo, whose arm was ripped from mine by ICE agents, has none of those things. That's why I'll keep coming back to court, week after week, to make sure that people's rights are protected.

This gives intense angry mom energy (complimentary).

RCV has led to a positive, substantive campaign with Lander and Mamdani acting as if they're in a buddy comedy about who loves New York more and Mamadani encouraging his supporters to donate to A. Adams. And then there's Cuomo, set apart from it all, fear mongering about a city in decline.

Big tech is trying to buy the Mayor's Office. First Cuomo, then Speaker Adams.

Here at 26 Federal Plaza where people are gathered to protest against Brad Lander's arrest

NY Governor Kathy Hochul inside 26 Federal Plaza now, seeking answers from DHS/ICE about the arrest of NYC Comptroller Brad Lander, who is still being detained. @thecity.nyc "How long is this going to take, I don't think he has a long rap sheet," Hochul says to agents.

I.C.E. is arresting lawyers. See how he’s arguing they “don’t have the authority” to arrest him, AS they are arresting him and taking him away? Remember this when you reflexively reply about how “illegal” all this is. We know it’s illegal—the Rule of Law Is just dead now…so..

Has Cuomo ever done this for a defendant? #DontRankCuomo

lmao Zohran Mamdani gets all the endorsements while Cuomo relies on millions of dollars from real estate interests #DontRankCuomo Sanders endorses Mamdani for NYC mayor www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUPy...

DON'T JOIN THE CUOMO TRAIN. (Credit for the original image goes to @cityandstateny.bsky.social. Also volume warning: turn volume down!)

Corrupt as hell. Truly running for Eric Adams's 2nd term. If you want to defeat him, tell everyone you know to rank Brad Lander and Zohran Mamadani 1st and 2nd (or 2nd and 1st). And don't rank Cuomo at all.

"...Cuomo's Dodge Charger has been hit with four school zone speeding tickets since late March. Is this in line with how the vast majority of New York drivers behave? No—according to the DOT, 74 percent of all drivers who are hit with speed camera tickets receive only one or two per year."

Two reminders I'd like to see more often: 1. How many people don't bike now but are interested in doing so. 2. How many people drive now but are unsatisfied. The Dave Colon Challenge: Zellnor Myrie Wants His Own Bike Now - Streetsblog New York City nyc.streetsblog.org/2025/06/16/t...

This comic is like 7-8 years old at this point but it is once again applicable

Oh, so we're ripping out dangerous lanes in NYC now?

Definitely rank a mayor who nonchalantly gets shit done while experiencing airtime and laterals

Early voting begins tomorrow! Find your poll site and make a plan to vote. The earlier you vote, the more resources the campaigns you like can spend turning out other people. vote.nyc/page/find-yo...

We know what we have to do to save our city from Andrew Cuomo. We're cross endorsing 🤝 @bradlander.bsky.social

Zohran Mamdani is pulling ahead in the polls, and it has the billionaire class shaking in their expensive boots. Let's make 'em cry! Early voting starts tomorrow (Saturday). Find your poll site: www.vote.nyc/page/find-yo...

Today’s decision to grant a preliminary injunction marks the third time the court has ruled against Mayor Adams’ executive order to allow Trump’s ICE to reopen a center on Rikers Island. This is another victory to protect public safety and New Yorkers’ Constitutional rights.

I'm not even mad this time. We must all channel that energy towards making sure he doesn't become mayor again. nyc.streetsblog.org/2025/06/13/b...

Liberty Avenue, Sutphin Boulevard to Merrick Boulevard - presented to Queens Community Board 12 in June 2025

Today at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, cops spent 2 hrs standing in the middle of the bike lane (dangerous!) and issuing B.S. criminal summonses to as many cyclists as they could. The same officers were illegally idling their NYPD van in front of a fire hydrant the entire time #bikeNYC #corruption

Cuomo's campaign is evil. He's an asshole. He must be scared reverting to these tactics!

Last night, @bradlander.bsky.social and I exposed Andrew Cuomo's record of corruption, scandal and disgrace on the debate stage. With early voting starting tomorrow, we're cross-endorsing to defeat the ex-Gov. and win a city everyone can afford. Rank Brad #2!

Via @nytimes.com: I’m proud to team up with @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and cross-endorse each other for Mayor because of his strong commitment to a more affordable city. Together, we'll fight for a safer, better-run New York — and ensure that Andrew Cuomo makes it nowhere near City Hall.

Out of 1,610 R211 cars, only 100 will be open gangways. Regarding the numbered lines: "NYCT intends to purchase 1,140 R262 A-Division Subway Cars and a portion of those subway cars may be open gangway."

Roller coasters are far safer than cars. Subtext intended.

The National Academies just put out a big paper on the future of commuter rail and how to rethink it, and a lot of what’s in there echos Sandy’s work, and Alon’s work. With pushback (unconvincing) from all the usual suspects — nap.nationalacademies.org/catalog/2912...
