I’m old enough to remember when they were called life preservers

Seems like a weird dynamic to have someone who days ago was dumped out of the tournament, commentating on the games of people who are better than him

It’s veering into Partridge territory

The combination of smug and inept commentary is unbearable

I’ve seen many great craft beer metal bars across Europe. I wonder if the link is strong in some countries

Very mid 2000’s just started a food blog vibe. I’ve been there, but I didn’t get a column in the guardian

The first Episode of the new series of Black mirror is about this, expect instead of automated farm equipment it's about brain implants.

I love proudly marching across them on public footpaths and holding up a round.

Lovely stuff but a bit scary in places. feels like a soundtrack to a folk horror

Just remembered two moments of genuine heart wrenching sorrow. Damn you Bones.

It’s soothing. I’m trying some anti-playlist stuff at the moment. Artist verticals. Currently trying to understand Radiohead from start to finish.

Fuck yeah. Where do you find the time! Your adolescence piece helped me vocalise what I was thinking but was struggling with. Still not able to completely say why the whole thing troubles me.

It's an interesting wine. Very aromatic with stone fruit even tropical. Completely different on the palate. Very herbaceous like an extreme version of it's vinifera namesake Sauvignon B. Took a while to get on with but a solid wine.

Is Rylan a Lucas terrier?

Best roasties I’ve made are the ones where i think i’ve boiled for too long and then, as you say, Gently ease them into the oil. Worst are the mean little undercooked, underoiled. Punishment. The answer to “would you like more potatoes?”should never be “not even if you paid me”

So tempting to highjack this thread with pictures of my Sporting Lucas Terrier but I won't subject you to that.

Coincidentally I walked past Adam Pearson just yesterday on my dogwalk.

I realise this just makes me sound old. But I went to a proper party in a much smaller venue on New Years Day and I couldn't stop grinning.
