However, those of us who have it have been delivering a shedload of solar in Spring of this year. Enough to offset 16 TwH of imported gas. Ignore the gainsayers.
Even my sister with 15 year old 180w panels is remarking how much she has been producing.

I spent a lot of time discussing appropriate use of "AI" and also how it was developed on the theft of IP, uses tons of water, threatens our ability to meet climate goals, etc.
Some students were shocked and swore they would stop using it - and I saw that happen. Others doubled down

What else... Quite a few students did not realize that Grammarly is AI based and can be used in a way that is generative - not just some small grammar changes. I was seeing students submit shockingly similar answers. Some even pinged as plagiarizing each other. They all claimed it was Grammerly use

Other students were submitting Google's AI summary as their own work, expressing surprise that 1. It was AI and 2. That this was also plagiarism
It seemed like they thought since the prompt/search terms were their own, the output is also theirs?

I always ask to meet students to discuss their work so we can determine why their writing sounds like a 🤖
Some students were finding articles or essays in their native language, having ChatGPT translate it, then turning it in as their own work. They were *shocked* to learn this was plagiarism
