Well, there was this "operation paperclip" that imported German scientists to America to work for America, after WWII. I believe one of them headed NASA.

It's not easy finding a transfer bed that both provides for OB needs and ECMO either.

Given that many initial interviews are virtual, a snart phone is pretty essential if you want to get a job.

I'll be wanting mine this fall, sooner if we have a surge. COVID-19 admissions are low right now though, at least here.

Another ambush, just like the one sprung on Zelensky. Other foreign leaders should expect the same from Trump.

Seriously, if an angry woman broke through a window coming into my house, followed by a mob armed with whatever they could find, I'd be feeling the need to shoot too. She made her choice and paid through price.

And why is my tax money going to pay a settlement to the Babbitt family, a woman I would have shot myself if she were coming through a window in my home that she broke out, with an angry mob behind her?

If Ashli Babbitt was coming through a window she helped break out in your home, followed by a bunch of people armed with whatever they could find, there's not many people.who wouldn't have shot her. It's bullshit that this is being called a wrongful death.

The cell type usually responds well to hormonal treatment. He is still discussing treatment with his medical team. And it's far too soon, even if he's received any treatment, for it to show improvement. But there's at least reason to be hopeful.

The diagnosis of bone mets likely makes his cancer treatment palliative. But if the cancer itself responds well to treatment, he could well outlive his cancer, meaning age would take him before the cancer does. Wishing him the best....

Didn't expect Rand Paul to speak truth, so color me surprised!

That one's easy. I bet I haven't been there more than once or twice a year for the last 5 years.

Dropping out of a residency 6 months from the end is a giant red flag. Usually that sort of thing means a resident was given a chance to withdraw over being kicked out of the program.
