BTW - National Guard & active duty military units cannot arrest civilians. They can only provide backup to law enforcement! The Insurrection Act is intended to stop active over-throw of the government & the only time in recent history that was attempted was on January 6, 2021, encouraged by Trump!

RE: 700 Marines &, now, 4,000 National Guard being “deployed” to Los Angeles I was a Marine @ Pendleton in 8/65 & we weren’t sure if we were going to be deployed to LA because of the Watts riots or to Vietnam for the war. My 1st tour in SE Asia was by ship from San Diego; 2nd one from Long Beach!
