I'd be lying myself if I said I found the lying alarming. It's typical now.

Imagine DJT thinks, "I would like to change the tariffs on China. If only Lutnick hadn't given Carl Quintanilla permission to say that they're not going to change!"

Some people need to learn to advise self-referentially while referencing self-referential advice. It's advice all the way down!

ICYMI On May 8 an announcement from Trump after US & UK met for a few days. They released a five-page non-binding document. That day, Trump called it "very conclusive" deal. Today he announced, a "very positive conclusion" after a short call with Xi. Seems like a familiar theme.

Trump is not the type of person to adhere to definitions that are useful to people who depend on definitions. If he says it's a trade deal, it's a trade deal.

Just like the "very conclusive" US UK deal! Congrats to the administration and CNBC! 90 deals just around the corner! Great dealmaking! Great reporting! Super job all around. 200 IQ! /s

Trump has a recent history of abrogating his own trade deals. But the new metal tariffs are not an example, because there hasn't been a US/UK trade deal since April, as you know.

Judging from those two lines they wrote, this individual is not highly literate.

I have had to ask for a password reset for one system several times. This includes most recently when I needed a password reset in the middle of a password reset.

A more religious version is Jesus' "Love thy neighbor," by which the manner in which you'd treat someone depends on context, e.g. a reprimand might not be golden or platinum but it can be an act of love.

The Golden Rule is not religious that I am aware of. It's also not universally accepted. Compare to the Platinum Rule which says, "Treat others they way they would like to be treated."

Yeah, he said "more than $250,000,000," so more than nothing. Is that wrong? What's the problem? /s

It sounds like he's talking about his plan to force U.S. and the other countries to pay the same drug prices. Naturally, lower paying countries would oppose this plan.
