Wow. This is major news. Judges discuss moving the U.S. marshals from the executive to the judicial branch. Not only would they protect judges from trump threats, but it would also make it easier for courts to order marshals to carry out court orders.

I love John Oliver, and I loved Sunday's episode, but one nitpick: It grated on me badly when Oliver referred to David Geier as a "vaccine skeptic." Geier is not a skeptic. He is a longtime antivax activist and producer of bad science and pseudoscience regarding vaccines and autism.

Very sad to learn that Virginia Giuffre has died by suicide. She was just 41. Virginia was perhaps the most well-known survivor of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s predation. I’ve had four other Epstein survivors tell me they would not have come forward if not for Virginia’s courage.
