Choice very-Norwegian comments from our hero: "The doorbell rang at a time of day when I don't like to open" "I didn't hear anything." "It's a very bulky new neighbour but it will soon go away" My people, so excitable and loquacious...

In 1994 O'Reilly released 3 versions of The Mosaic Handbook (for X Window System, Mac & Windows) & we offered reviewers whichever version(s) they wanted. I spent a Saturday afternoon at the office, carefully sorting the books & adding the printed cover letters I'd produced with troff. Ah, memories.

Bonnie Raitt's version of John Prine's "Angel from Montgomery." The Beatles' "Til There Was You" (jk). Surely there are a bunch more--shall burn my limited cognitive resources in pursuit of them...

Agreed, except it's not so surprising. They're just a wee bit out of touch with reality (and they've always sucked at PR).

I believe I was there, back in the good old days.

And if we don’t, they’ll do all that and anything else they please, because you will have confirmed that they have no opposition and can get away with anything.

Heh. They really can’t stop themselves from being clueless.

A more elegant fix—don’t order from Amazon! I’m trying it and I’m surprised how much I’m liking it.

Every day a new way that we are thoroughly fucked.

There's nothing that is not plausible.

If only you truly grokked how fucked up each and every one of us is, self love would be easier.
