I'm wondering what the authors would make of exclosures like Venus Bay. Those seem to support the idea that removing foxes and cats is enormously helpful.
And it's not like people are ONLY blaming predators. There's clear evidence AFAIK for habitat degradation and introduced herbivores as well.
