My twitter got permanently stuck in limbo b/c some idiot fired all the folks who make it actually work. So... yup. Seemed a sign.

The idea of Russia as a potential major trade partner is laughable, & it just shows how stupid this admin is that they don't see that. They've nothing of real value to us. If anything they're a major competitor-- in both the EU energy market & defense systems.

To be clear, it's tge fact there are ongoing negotiations. If it'd been offered as a gift, you'd imagine things on Qatari side would've been settled before offering it. Only ledt for US to figure out how/if. So... negotiations over WHAT, exactly, are ongoing?
comment in response to post
If one thing became clear after qatar itself pushed back saying it was inaccurate to call it a gift, it's that trump likely asked them for the plane in the first place. They didn't just offer it. He's not going to turn it down.

I mean, if we haven't it's clearly Joe Bidens fault.

Ooh, a very strongly worded letter! Did they go all caps on him? B/c that shit would be devastating. There's no coming back from that.

It's so fun watching the Rubber band style economic policy of a team who can only be described as idiots... "tariffs for all! ... just kidding, guys. Oops, nope. Take backs! Tariffs again!"
comment in response to post
Not true, they tried exploiting the war to colonize ukraine as a vassal state
comment in response to post
Well they suspended the last person (a lawyer) who contradicted the administration. So presume some firings and a doge team are on their way already.

Lol, it's an El Camino on a good day. I guess cyber El Camino just doesn't sounds as cool, though

If possible, but then it becomes an issue of how you pay for it. Several hundred people on athletic scholarships can't just transfer to the same few schools, after all. Though also just don't think most realize how much power unis have over scholarship athletes. Very abusive system.
comment in response to post
Spoken by someone who has obviously never had their scholarship-- and by extension their entire future-- held over their head.

To be fair, the armor on a real tank isn't just glued on 😅

Exactly. He took $ investors gave his AI company and used it to pay off debts he'd personally guaranteed. Sure it had nothing to do with the declining value of the company or of the tesla stock he used as a guarantee...

That's been their playback for a few decades now. It's exactly what they did with the post office. They break it, then criticize as terribly run (... by them...), and argue its rrwaon to privatize.
comment in response to post
You can already see the bs legal argument they're gonna make here, "all we do is deport them, we've no jurisdiction as to what happens to them after."
comment in response to post
They're fully grown adults. Maybe just ask the fuckin' questions... Jesus, we really elect some assholes in this country.

What kills me, esp knowing they'd set messages to delete, is tgis is just the one chat we know about I wish folks would just get it through their heads, end-to-end encryption doesn't mean secure. If anything, it provides a false sense of security.
comment in response to post
He does legit see himself that way, as some great deal maker. What kills me though is he's also so absurdly terrible at it. Yet they try to frame it like he's just playing 5D chess and all us plebeians just can't see his genius.
comment in response to post
Transactional only in that he views all relationships as only worthwhile if he can get something out of it, but yeah mobster is what I mean by thuggish.
comment in response to post
You'd almost think having employees to run your company was a good thing.
comment in response to post
Beyond a shallow love of authoritarian, I honestly don't see the appeal to trump. I mean the guy views every relationship as a transaction. I wouldn't be surprised if he charged his kids $5 for hugs. So... what's he getting out of this relationship, exactly? Is it just his ego?
comment in response to post
They seem to be going all in on the idea country should be run like trump runs his businesses, when... Jesus, he's a terrible businessman. He bankrupts everything, no contractor or bank will touch him, he has literally zero friends, & his entire negotiating style is best declscribed as thuggish...
comment in response to post
Lol, thats an oligarchy. He's LITERALLY describing an oligarchy.

I get tired of idiots responding to the idea it's over valued by insisting it's an "innovation" company and their product is "innovation."
comment in response to post
Poland has long been one of America's biggest supporters in... hell, the world. Not just their gov, but the people. Why would you go out of your way to fuck that up?
comment in response to post
It needs to keep going. Tesla has LONG been in need of a correction. I'm tired of idiots insisting ots worth so much b/c it's an "innovation" company 🙄
comment in response to post
What's extra funny about this is his entire lifestyle, loans he's taken out etc, are backed by that stock. So if it keeps dropping a lot on banks may get screwed 😅 Honestly, it's long been in need of a correction. I'm tired of idiots insisting its an "innovation" company.
comment in response to post
To be fair, that's long been the trend.
comment in response to post
... Poland already DOES share a border with Russia. How are these idiots running the country?

Have more than two paragraphs? Synonyms: Also, And another thing, plus, thirdly, and also....

So a good year to finally declare those 12 children I definitely have, is what I hear you saying. Also my very generous charity donations.

Basically, yeah. My thinking as well. If her vote was needed to confirm, she'd be voting for him. This is just her taking a mean-nothing position to try and maintain the illusion she's an independent thinker.
comment in response to post
Still blaming democrats, mostly 🙄 There was an article I read that they'd specifically targeted those demographics with ads to push the whole "genocide joe" nonsense.
comment in response to post
Idk tiktok, but leading up to the last US election twitter was FLOODED with far right accounts in the "for you" feed. And remarkably, right after the election, 95% of them vanished. Making it pretty difficult to think it was anything but intentional manipulation.
comment in response to post
I've a feeling vets, b/c of higher disability rates, are gonna be overly represented in those fired for such things.
comment in response to post
Not surprising, though. Trump doesn't believe in soft power. His entire style is more dictatorial... or mobster collecting protection money.
comment in response to post
Makes perfect sense. I mean, why would the state dept need to know what's going on in the world? 🙄 Also, if even one of these assholes says they can just use Twitter I'm gonna punch something... which, you know someone is gonna say.
comment in response to post
They always seem a few steps behind on these things. That, and their general inability to find a good--emphasis on good-- coherent message & stick to it is why I typically say their biggest issue is they stink at the actual politics of politics. I mean what was the theme of bidens campaign? Harris?
comment in response to post
Lol, neither do I but they just kept putting him in so many freaking movies for a while. And not small indie films, either. When they started casting him as the lead in these big budget productions... ugh.
comment in response to post
You'd almost think having actual employees to address such issues would be... helpful 🤔
comment in response to post
... is this real? 😅 On the bright side I guess another generation will get to experience the somewhat ironic humor of getting high in a "just say no/dare" t-shirt.
comment in response to post
Lol, twitter doesn't have customer service either. If ever you've an issue it's basically road warrior rules.
comment in response to post
He just doesn't give a shit. Didn't care about afghans, doesn't care about Ukr. He just views everything in the world as transactional. He'll give putin whatever he wants then try to force ukr to sign that draconian treaty making them little better than a US colony.
comment in response to post
I mean, "make america great again," wasnt an original slogan either. Yet trump takes credit and they all clap like seals at what a marketing genius he is.
comment in response to post
Beyond that it's just messaging. Look at biden. He seemed to spend most of his 4yrs not engaging as though he was above the pettiness of it all. But it just let gop define his entire presidency... then when he started running their attempts at messaging were just embarrassing & all over the place.
comment in response to post
I mean, Obama did it pretty well. Where everyone else screws up is in trying to emulate the bush strategy of firing up the base-- while forgetting the democratic party has always been more a coalition. Also when they pander they tend to be really... really bad at it.
comment in response to post
Don't get me wrong. She DEF had her share of die hards, and they were also annoying af. But Obama did a much better job of mending fences than she did with sanders supporters. Ie, all I remember of night Obama was elected was elation. Then... the internet wasn't nearly as abboyimg then either 😅
comment in response to post
Oohhh. That idk, can't find data. If I'm skeptical it's b/c Clinton didnt have too many die hard fans in 08 b/c They melted away pretty quickly. Where in 16 she seemed set on pissing off sanders voters-- largely b/c just seemed she resented another Obama taking away a nomination she felt was hers.
comment in response to post
Trump... it's more the fringe left that backed him, not liberals etc. As in the raw milk loving, Oliver stone fringe part of the left. Though there were certainly a decent number of liberal talking heads that shit on harris nonstop.
comment in response to post
No, 2008 b/c you'd said many sanders supporters backed Obama. Obama did have the youth vote, but 8yrs later just wouldn't call it the same youth vote. Just like now, male youths esp backed trump-- but not sanders supporters, just the same youth vote. So just not understanding.
