I think his username with the "88" at the end for someone not born in 1988 already made the motivation here pretty clear.

Birmingham instituted a similar system in the 1970s when Black residents finally were able to gain power in the city, though it has fallen into a bit of decline as power was shifted away from the neighborhoods. birminghamwatch.org/2025/02/21/b....

Is there any evidence that the "institute" is anything other than Michael masquerading as an organization? I've never seen any evidence otherwise, and yet this guy keeps popping up!

She tweeted it in 2021 - Duss replied to her current nonsense with her old tweet to illustrate the self-own.

In 1872, my 3rd great grandfather had been in the US for only 5 years, and his hometown only 2, and yet he and others were allowed to vote after "declaring their intention to become citizens of the United States." It wasn't controversial - they put it in the newspaper!

I've been able to identify parents/grandparents for several distant cousins if you're interested in having a stranger take a crack at it. Depending on what testing sites you've used, it may not require you to give me access to your account, just permission to access results (i.e., AncestryDNA).

Not me in the middle of episode 10.35, worrying about what I'll do in the end, and coming across this beaut of a skeet. Tiocfaidh Ar La!

My grandpa would playfully refer to his grandkids as "you big hunk of cheese", something I've never heard in any other context so honestly thought he made it up, but which hopefully reduces the likelihood of it being a slur

My wife and I listened together on a car trip and both thought you had remarkable news deep dives and great fun stuff as well. Well done!

I liked it, but I think your current format works very well and I wouldn't want to change it. It could be something that's good on occasion, or for the podcast extra.

Me: I feel bad for this guy, being put on the census beat. Gotta be hard to find good stories there. Tough luck. Hansi: Listen to this extremely important, blockbuster story about the census, following up on my other blockbuster story about the census last week.

I was in Lowell, drinking $1 ten-ounce beers in a bar where Poe used to visit and Kerouac used to get hammered, with the entire bar glued to the TV. Probably the best inning of baseball I've ever watched.

When I was in high school, I had a realization that if I just joked about everything with ironic detachment, I could sound clever without revealing my ignorance by actually saying anything about anything. Who knew I could have taken this skill all the way to the top.

Wouldn't have been as bad if they would have included the school system, not doing so left long lasting damage
