My father was a tile contractor. He hired many young men who needed jobs. He always paid well and taught them skills. Many were Hispanic, one in particular became like family to us. He eventually took the skills my dad gave him and became a journeyman, and then contractor and my dad was so proud!

This has to stop. We have zero protection from these monsters. I worry about my brother in law who is 81, Hispanic, born in America, and very brown. He is still very cognizant and self-sufficient. Asked him what he would do if he was profiled? He thought I was joking.

100 percent true. My dad's eldest sister did the genealogy on that side of my family. From the Magna Carta all the way down as she had become a member of the Society of the Magna Carta. I am very proud of my heritage, and the ones who made the sacrifice to become Americans.

Same here. 1973, my dad came into my bedroom, and the sun hadn't even come yet. Hit the light switch and said, today you get your ass out of bed and look for a job. And that was that, got a job that week and made a whopping $2.00 per hr.
