The police were forewarned by the father, they couldn't have possibly been more ready.

Tase him, talk him down, etc. This isn't the only country in the world where people have poor mental health, just the only country in the world where police have carte blanche to murder anyone they choose to.

LA is incredibly safe compared to how it was in the 90s. Almost *everywhere* in America is. Violent crime was 3x higher across the country 30 years ago. We are at historic lows. San Francisco, for example, hasn't had a murder rate this low since *1961.* And yet people act like it's so dangerous.

Some cities are sprawling, massive, they include good areas and bad areas and everything inbetween. Some cities are tiny and compact and exclude anything that could possibly be considered a bad neighborhood. And so it's very silly to compare statistics across cities.
comment in response to
post
Also those crime statistics that people like to compare, the ones the FBI publishes? The FBI *literally* tells people not to compare them across cities. Cities can define themselves however they want.

Rural America is literally more dangerous: www.scientificamerican.com/article/peop.... It's hard to see concern about C R I M E as anything other than coded racism when the actual risk of death is so much higher in rural areas.

They're also being lied to by ALL mainstream corporate media, who are making these largely peaceful protests out to be a warzone.

By total number of farms it's almost all of them. By total amount of land, they're outnumbered something like 2:1, and by amount produced, almost all production is by large farms. So it really depends. People who want to make it seem like all farms are small family farms can cite the first stat.
