Knowing how they work doesn’t make them less satisfying to listen to for me.
But sometimes playing them too much while practicing makes me sick of them. And bad memories with the group I played that song with ruins the song for me too :-(
I now avoid covering songs I love with other people.

Also, just like we were taught as kids, if someone’s doing something that feels funny in a bad way, tell a grownup.
(And hopefully your table of players are filled with “grownups” in that way)

Yes: have fun!
And support other players/DM having their fun.
(Which just means following basic playground etiquette-let all the kids have a turn, share, listen, etc. which I’m sure you already do.)
Don’t worry about doing all the rules “correctly”. A good DM will roll with it.

I love that Seattle is three black cats.
That seems….accurate

Also to be clear, I’m not directing any of this at @charlotteclymer.bsky.social I’m just venting on the internet, as one does…

From Wikipedia. But I guess if you need your TikTok, you don’t care about how the Chinese government might use data to harm LGBTQ people 🤷🏻

I love 🙄how people can be anti-Musk/X, liberal, pro-Palestine, etc…but when it comes to taking away their precious TikTok, somehow the Chinese government’s atrocities are suddenly NBD.

Which part is the unexpected part? I thought chatting with your cashier is normal in Minnesota?
Genuine question, for I am from Seattle, a land often accused (by people not from here) of being cold and unfriendly

Wow. I haven’t thought about Robinsons-May in a long time I didn’t even realize that they don’t exist anymore, and now you’re about to send me down a Wikipedia rabbit hole…

Holy cow! I just realized I’m talking to Cherie Priest, famed author of Boneshaker, about bed linens on the internet! Eek!
Uh, hi! *waves shyly* And also I hope there’s more Booking Agents books, please, if you happen to have the time. They’re some of my most fave recent books!

Congrats on 100!
My favorite & probably the only podcast I listen to religiously. I recommend you to all my friends! Thank you for all the hard work, thank you for existing.
You make my life better. Without the show I’d be sleepier during the day. And that’s not a great time to be sleepy.

Magnet grip affixed to the back of your phone. Super handy for group selfies (there’s always pole or fence to stick your phone onto). Prop phone up on stuff everywhere.
Mine is the LoveHandle phone grip. I didn’t know it was magnet, I bought it for the grip. Magnet has been a life-changer

Ah, okay.
I started using a weighted blanket that came with a duvet cover and even though there are eight (!) ties inside (each corner and middle of each side), it somehow still manages to get twisted up.
I thought maybe everyone else knows something I don’t.

Do you keep them on when you sleep? Or do you only mean when you’re making the bed after washing the cover?

My whole PhD dissertation was basically trying to make UIs more fair for people to collaborate, & I always wondered why fairness was the thing that really riled me up so much, given that I have a hard time feeling others’ emotions. Now I know.

So I think this study is BS.
People really must hate me as much as I worry they do.

I think about this a lot because I can’t imagine this study is true.
All the time I feel like I dislike people I meet, but I still have to be at least polite and civil, so they probably don’t realize how much I dislike them.
Which means there’s people who also hate me and I don’t know it.
